Centre for Wind Energy Technology (C-WET) is an autonomous R&D institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, GOI. C-WET is primarily engaged in activities of Resource Assessment, Testing, Certification, Research and Development in the field of wind energy.

Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission is a major initiative of the Government of India and State Governments to promote ecologically sustainable growth while addressing India’s energy security challenge. In keeping with the immediate aim to focus on setting up an enabling environment for solar energy penetration in the country, GOI have assigned C-WET the ambitious task of setting up facilities, collecting and analyzing solar irradiation data from various stations spread throughout the country. These activities will be performed and monitored by a Solar Radiation Resource Assessment Cell (SRRA). SRRA Cell will also serve as a laboratory for calibration of sensors deployed for collection of meteorological parameters.

The Centre proposes to recruit skilled, dedicated, industrious and competent technical and supporting personnel for C-WET and SRRA Cell. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for recruitment of following posts as detailed below:

Eligibility:

Holding analogous post or 8 years experience in the immediate lower Pay Band (PB2) out of which atleast 2 years experience in the highest grade pay i.e.Rs.5400/- of the said Pay Band. Having adequate background and experience relating to administrative, financial, personnel, procurement and project financing matters are eligible to apply.

General Instructions

1.The job in SRRA Cell involves extensive travel to locations in remote areas or difficult terrains across India. Only such candidates who are ready to undertake frequent travel and willing to remain away from HQ for longer periods need apply.

2.Appointment of Scientist ‘D’ - SRRA on deputation basis from Govt./Quasi Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies from among Scientists/Engineers holding analogous posts or with 5 years of regular service (2 years in the field of solar energy) in the immediate lower grade pay or equivalent. Such deputation shall be on Foreign Service terms prescribed in GoI, DoPT O.M.No.2/29/91-Estt (Pay II), dated 5.1.1994 as amended from time to time. The present project duration is upto June 2015. The project may extend beyond June 2015 in which case the deputation may also be extended as per deputation rules.

3.Appointment of AAO on deputation will be from Central Govt. /Quasi Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies on foreign service terms prescribed in GoI, DoPTO.M.No.2/29/91-Estt (Pay II), dated 5.1.1994 as amended from time to time.

4.The crucial date for determining age limit, qualification, experience etc., will be the last date for receipt of application.

5.Age limit for Scientists ‘B’ is relaxable by 5 years for those working in Central/State Government/ Autonomous Bodies on regular basis and 10 years for persons with disabilities (minimum 40%). There will be no upper age limit for C-WET employees. Candidates already in regular service in Govt. /Quasi Govt./PSU/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel.

6.Mere possession of the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not entail a candidate for being called for aptitude test / interview. The Centre reserves the right to call for aptitude test/ interview or both only to such candidates who in its opinion are found suitable based on a criteria evolved by a screening committee at its discretion. The decision of the screening committee shall be final. The list of such candidates will be notified on the website www.cwet.tn.nic.in.

7.Applications accompanied by

(i)a non-refundable Recruitment Fee of Rs.250/- by Demand Draft on any bank favouring ‘Centre for Wind Energy Technology’ payable at Chennai; AND

(ii)attested copies of certificates of SSLC/Matriculation, Degree Certificates and testimonials in proof of age, experience etc.,

8.On production of valid proof, Physically Disabled (minimum 40 %) and SC/ST candidates are exempt from payment of Recruitment Fee. Women candidates are also exempt from Recruitment Fee.

9.The posts carry allowances as per rules of Central Government. Other benefits will include LTC, Medical Reimbursement, Children Education Allowance, etc. as per rules. Except for accumulations under Employees’ Provident Fund, the appointees will not be eligible for any terminal benefits like Pension or Gratuity. Selected candidates are likely to be placed anywhere in India.

10.Candidates called for Test/Interview will be paid return sleeper class train fare by the shortest route on production of train/bus tickets.

11.Incomplete applications like:-
