Scientific Assistant `B' (Haemato-Pathology): 01 Post Qualifications: B.Sc. (Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology) with minimum 55% marks + DMLT preference will be given to those who have some experience in the relevant field. 10. 2. Qualifications:
Specialists- A recognised medical qualification included in the first
or second schedule of part-II of the Third Schedule (other than that
licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act,
1956. Holders of Educational qualification included in Part-II or the
Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in subsection
(3) of Section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act,
1956 with PG degree / Diploma in concerned speciality having 1 ½
years experience for Post Graduate degree holder & 2 ½ years for
Diploma holder in concerned speciality after obtaining the Post
Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent
For GDMOs- A recognised medical qualification included in the first
or second schedule of part-II of the Third Schedule (other than that
licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act,
1956. Holders of Educational qualification included in Part-II or the
Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in subsection
(3) of Section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
and have completed compulsory rotating internship
3. Remuneration : For Specialists – Rs. 57,672/-
For GDMOs – Rs. 47,775/-
4. Other conditions: Contractual employment will be for a period of 3
yrs only or till the appointee attains the age of 65 yrs or till regular incumbent
joins, whichever is earlier. Services of the appointee are terminable at any time
(on either side) by giving one month’s notice or by paying/refunding one month’s
pay without assigning any reason. Selection is purely contractual and does not
carry any right for regularisation or permanent absorption. Leave entitlement of
the appointee as will governed as per DoPT OM No. 12016/3/84-Estt(L) dated
12/4/1985, as amended from time to time. No TA/DA is admissible for the
interview. Candidates will be medically examined by a Board of Medical Officers
detailed by concerned CH. Appointment will be subject to medical

1. The recruitment will be on contract basis for a period of one year, which may be renewed for 3 years based on the performance
& conduct of the contractual staff as per the contract policy of SHSB. After 3 years, this contract may be extended further based
on performance. The maximum period of contract with State Health Society, Bihar would exist only till the continuance of
National Rural Health Mission. No request of regularization, readjustment and re-employment would be entertained in lieu of
the said contract.
2. Non-refundable Application fee is Rs. 500/- for applicants under General category, Rs. 300/- for BC/EBC and Rs. 200/- for SC/ ST
candidates. Application fee is to be submitted in the form of Bank Draft only. Bank Draft should be drawn on any nationalized
bank favoring “State Health Society, Bihar” and payable at Patna. Payment of application fee can also be made online through
internet payment gateway.
3. Candidates have to apply online on the HR cell link of the website www.statehealthsocietybihar.org only. It is important to note
that application in no other format would be considered without any exception.
4. All applications have to be attached with a sworn affidavit before the notary public clearly mentioning that “all the required
certificates related to the essential qualifications or the requisite experience exists with the applicant and that in case of any
fraudulent claim, legal action can be initiated against the applicant”. The pro-forma for affidavit can be downloaded from the
website.
5. No application will be accepted without submission of application fee, sworn affidavit and the Bar Coded Acknowledgement
Card received after filling the online application form.
6. Work Experience will be counted up to 01.12.2013.
7. State Health Society, Bihar reserves the right to cancel any or all the positions mentioned in this advertisement without
assigning reason.

It is informed that there are 375 posts of Senior Resident in various departments
of the Institute. The post of SR is a tenure post for three years. At any given point of time,
there used to be vacancies in the grade. Hence in order to fill up as many vacancies as
possible to render optimal patient care services, it is proposed to conduct walk-in-interview
for every two months. Accordingly the walk-in-interview for the month of December
2013 will be held from 10.12.13 to 11.12.13. At present there are 145 vacancies in

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
A Postgraduate Medical Degree/Diploma in respective discipline from
recognized university/Institute.
For the post of Senior Resident in Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery, the candidate
should possess M.S (General Surgery). M.Ch. (CTVS) will be preferred.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Gastroenterology (Medical Department), the
candidate should possess MD (General Medicine). DM (Gastroenterology) will be
preferred.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Nuclear Medical Department, the candidate
should possess MD in Radiotherapy / Radio diagnosis with diploma in Radiation Medicine
or MD in Nuclear Medicine / MBBS with Diploma in Radiation Medicine.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Geriatric Medicine, the candidate should
possess MD in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine
For the Post of Senior Resident in Emergency Medical Services Department
(Casualty) the candidate should possess M.D/DNB in Medicine / M.S/DNB in General
Surgery.
Age: - Below 33 years, with usual relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC
as per rules. Upper age limit for Differently Abled persons shall be relaxable by 10
years. (15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs.)
For differently abled persons the posts in Non-Surgical departments are identified
suitable. Categories of Differently Abled persons suitable for the job and age relaxation
are as below:-
OL- One leg affected (R and/or L),
OA- One arm affected(R or L)
a) Impaired reach, b) Weakness of grip, c) Ataxia
Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for
reservation and age relaxation.

PAY SCALES:-
The candidates with Postgraduate Medical Degree/Diploma recognized by
the Medical Council of India will be paid B/Pay Rs.18750/-Plus Grade Pay of
Rs. 6600/- (Revised) and other usual allowances per month in the first year of
his/her residency.
Selection of candidates will be based on a written test followed by Personal

For the Post of Senior Resident in Gastroenterology (Medical Department), the
candidate should possess MD (General Medicine). DM (Gastroenterology) will be
preferred.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Nuclear Medical Department, the candidate
should possess MD in Radiotherapy / Radio diagnosis with diploma in Radiation Medicine
or MD in Nuclear Medicine / MBBS with Diploma in Radiation Medicine.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Geriatric Medicine, the candidate should
possess MD in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine
For the Post of Senior Resident in Emergency Medical Services Department
(Casualty) the candidate should possess M.D/DNB in Medicine / M.S/DNB in General
Surgery.
Age: - Below 33 years, with usual relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC
as per rules. Upper age limit for Differently Abled persons shall be relaxable by 10
years. (15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs.)
For differently abled persons the posts in Non-Surgical departments are identified
suitable. Categories of Differently Abled persons suitable for the job and age relaxation
are as below:-
OL- One leg affected (R and/or L),
OA- One arm affected(R or L)
a) Impaired reach, b) Weakness of grip, c) Ataxia
Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for
reservation and age relaxation.

PAY SCALES:-
The candidates with Postgraduate Medical Degree/Diploma recognized by
the Medical Council of India will be paid B/Pay Rs.18750/-Plus Grade Pay of
Rs. 6600/- (Revised) and other usual allowances per month in the first year of
his/her residency.
Selection of candidates will be based on a written test followed by Personal
Interview on the same day. The schedule of Written test/Interview for the above

Selection Procedure: -
A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be
conducted for eligible Candidate followed by personal interview. 85% of total
marks will be for written test and 15% for Personal interview.
