Applications are invited for a “Walk-in-Interview” scheduled to be held at Division ofVeterinary Public Health, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar (UP) on October 18, 2013 at 11.00AM for engagement of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DBT funded project entitled “Development of National Brucella

Repository & Molecular Characterization of Brucella species of Diverse Origin”. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. The engagements will be liable for termination at any time in case of unsatisfactory performance. There will be no provision ofabsorption/re-employment in IVRI/DBT on termination of the project. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview and no separate letter will be issued.

Duration of the Project: up to September, 2015

Essential Qualification:

JRF/SRF:

Essential: M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Public Health /Biotechnology /Bacteriology/ Immunology or allied discipline OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology or allied discipline

Desirable: Working knowledge in bacteriological (isolation, identification of bacteria)/ molecular biology and biotechnological techniques, nucleotide sequencing & analysis techniques, computer application (Web-searching, MS-Word, Excel, Power point etc.).

Age limit: 35 years (relaxation for women and SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms).

Emoluments:

1)Rs.16000/= P.M. + HRA @ 20% for Ist & IInd year and Rs.18000/= P.M.+HRA @ 20% for IIIrd year (for post-graduates in subjects other than Vet Science) only

ifHE/SHE is NET/GATE or equivalent qualified, otherwise it will be Rs 12,000/= +HRA @ 20% only for Ist & IInd year and Rs.14,000/= P.M.+HRA @ 20% for IIIrd year.

2)Rs.18000/= P.M.+ HRA @ 20% for Ist & IInd year & Rs.20000/= P.M. + HRA @ 20% for IIIrd year (for post-graduates in Vet Science).

Selection procedure:

Candidates fulfilling qualification and experience may appear directly in “Walk-in- Interview”. Candidates attending interview are required to bring recent bio-data, original and one photocopy of certificates, two passport size photographs.
