International Scholarships and Bursaries

The University of Gloucestershire is pleased to be able to reward academic excellence and operates an extensive scholarship programme for international students.

 Please note the following:

• To be eligible for these scholarships and bursaries students must be paying fees at the international tuition fee rate.
• Only students who hold an offer letter can be awarded a scholarship.
• A student can apply for multiple awards but will only receive the one of highest value.
• All of our scholarships and bursaries are subject to these terms and conditions.

International Merit Scholarship
Summary	Open to all international fee paying students applying for full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate courses. Award deducted from tuition fees.
Award value	• 5 x 50% scholarships • 10 x 25% scholarships
Term	Valid for 1 year only.
Quantity	15
Eligible courses	All undergraduate and all taught postgraduate Masters courses
Application type	Complete the scholarship application form. Please note that you must have applied for one of our courses before applying for this scholarship.
Deadline	Friday 13 June 2014

International Research Scholarships
Summary	Open to all international fee paying students applying for a full-time Masters by research or PhD course starting in 2014. Award deducted from tuition fees.
Award value	3 x 30% scholarships
Term	Valid for 1 year only.
Quantity	3
Eligible courses	All research courses, Masters and PhD level.
Application type	Complete the scholarship application form. Please note that you must have applied for one of our courses before applying for this scholarship.

MBA Scholarship
Summary	Open to all international fee paying students applying for a full-time MBA course starting in January 2014.
Award value	2 x £2,000
Term	Valid for 1 year only. January 2014 intake only.

Postgraduate Academic Bursary
Summary	Open to all international fee paying students applying for a full-time postgraduate course. Any student who has achieved the equivalent of a UK upper second class division in their bachelor degree is eligible for this bursary. Minimum GPA score above 3.0 out of 4.0.
Award value	£1,500
Term	Valid for 1 year only.
Quantity	Unlimited
Eligible courses	All postgraduate courses (full-time only)
Application type	No application needed, awarded at time of admissions decision

International Alumni Bursary (for 2014 graduates)
Summary	International students completing a University of Gloucestershire Bachelor’s degree this summer (2014) are eligible for a 20% bursary towards postgraduate programmes starting in September 2014.
Award value	20% of tuition fees
Term	Valid for 1 year only.
Quantity	Unlimited
Eligible courses	All postgradaute courses (full-time only)
Application type	No application needed, awarded at time of admissions decision

Alumni Bursary
Summary	A 10% reduction will be applied to the fees of any former University of Gloucestershire student who has already successfully completed a qualification with the University of Gloucestershire and who now wishes to register for a second qualification with us.
Award value	10% of tuition fees
Term	Valid for 1 year only.
Quantity	Unlimited
Eligible courses	All postgraduate courses (full-time only)
Application type	No application needed, awarded at time of admissions decision.

Family Bursary
Summary	A 10% reduction will be applied to the fees of any international fee paying students whose parents, grandparents or siblings have previously studied and completed a degree course at the University of Gloucestershire.
Award value	10% of tuition fees
Term	Valid for each year of your course
Quantity	Unlimited
Eligible courses	All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses
Application type	No application needed, but evidence of family relationship required (birth certificates or official records)
