Position: Requirement  of  Dy.  General  Manager  (DGM),  Manager  &  Assistant
Manager(AM) in Transport Planning/ Transport Engineering Division on regular
basis.

RITES Ltd., a premier consultancy organization proposes to recruit suitable personnel in the
following grade and discipline to meet its requirements. Applications are invited from dynamic
and result oriented professionals employed in Indian Railways / Central / State Government
Department / Central / State PSUs / Private Sector for the post given below on regular open
market recruitment/ permanent absorption basis. The appointment initially will be on
probation for two years. Candidates have good prospects of growth in the company. Selected
incumbent may be posted anywhere in India or transfer where the company has project or will
have projects to deal with Transport Planning/Engineering.

* Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, for all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state
of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 on production of Certificate
from Competent Authority and 3 years for OBC for all posts.

Reservation and relaxation to reserved community candidates would be as per Government
orders. Ex-Serviceman shall be eligible for age relaxation as per Central Govt. guideline on the
subject.


Experience Criteria:

Minimum post qualification experience as on 01.10.2013
For DGM Minimum of 9 years’ experience (Post essential qualification)in the field of
Transport Planning/ Traffic Engineering including Comprehensive traffic and Transport studies, Integrated Multi Modal Public Transport Studies, Bus
Transport Studies, short, medium and long term traffic engineering and
management schemes for urban areas, etc. The experience must also
include:
 Planning and organization of field traffic & market surveys, data
compilation and analysis
 Transport demand estimation & forecast, modal split & traffic
assignment
 Geometric design of various types of intersections
 Traffic stimulation, signal design and area management schemes

Must be able to work on PCs for all the above works and be well
versed in standard planning/ traffic engineering software packages
For
Manager
Minimum of 5 years’ experience (Post essential qualification) in the field of
Transport Planning/ Traffic Engineering including Comprehensive traffic and
Transport studies, Integrated Multi Modal Public Transport Studies, short,
medium and long term traffic engineering and management schemes for
urban areas, etc. The experience must also include:
 Planning and organization of field traffic & market surveys, data
compilation and analysis
 Transport demand estimation & forecast, modal split & traffic
assignment
 Geometric design of various types of intersections
 Traffic stimulation, signal design and area management schemes by
use of special purpose programmes and software packages
 Pavement design
 Design of flyover/ grade seperators planning and design in
metropolitan areas
Must be able to work on PCs for all the above works and be well versed in
standard planning/ traffic engineering software packages
For
Assistant
Manager
Minimum of 1years** experience (Post essential qualification) in the field of
Transport Planning/ Traffic Engineering including:
 Planning and organization of field traffic & market surveys, data
compilation and analysis
 Transport demand modeling
Must be able to work on PCs for all the above works and be well versed in
standard planning/ traffic engineering software packages

** In case suitable candidates with 1 year Post-Essential Qualifications
Experience are not available, then applicants with above Post-Essential
Qualifications but without experience shall be inducted at AM level with
applicable Basic, DA and HRA. They will be paid full scale of AM upon
completion of 1 year of successful working in RITES.
Selection process:
The shortlisted candidates would be called for written test / Interview at RITES Corporate Office,
Gurgaon. Candidates have an option to appear for interview either in Hindi or English.

RITES’ regular employees fulfilling the educational qualification and experience criteria may
apply for the position. Such candidates shall be given age relaxation of 5 years, over and above
the upper age limit indicated above.

How to apply:-
1. Interested candidates fulfilling the above laid down eligibility criteria are required to apply
online in the registration format available in the Career Section of the RITES website,
http://www.rites.com on or before 1700 hrs. of 26.11.2013.

2. While submitting the online application the system would generate ‘Registration No.’ on
the top of such filled online form. A copy of this form containing the registration number
is to be printed, signed, and furnished alongwith attested copies of educational,
experience certificates and 2 recent passport size colour photographs to the
AGM(P)/Rectt., RITES Ltd., RITES Bhawan, Plot No.1, Sector-29, Gurgaon – 122001
through post so as to reach him definitely by 05.12.2013. The candidate is advised
to keep a copy of such application form with him and to carry the same at the time
of the interview if called. Candidates who have registered online but whose
physical application along with aforesaid documents is not received by the due
date, their candidature will not be considered.

3. Candidates not fulfilling the minimum laid down criteria advertised with respect to
educational qualifications, age, and experience for selection to the respective post,
would not be able to register online.
4. Candidates should submit only single application and application once submitted cannot
be altered. A valid e-mail ID is essential for submission of the online application. RITES
will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail sent to the candidates.

General instructions:
a) The original testimonials/documents alongwith the copy of the online registered data will
have to be produced at the time of interview. If any of their claim is found to be incorrect,
their candidature shall be summarily rejected.
b) Employees retired on VR basis shall not be eligible to apply for regular positions.
c) Serving Govt./PSU officials, if selected will be allowed to join only after they are properly
relieved by the parent organization.
d) The period of training/trainer/apprenticeship shall not be counted towards post
qualification experience.
e) Since these application forms are to be processed in a computerized system, due care
should be taken by the candidates to fill up their application form correctly. No column of
the application should be left blank. Applications incomplete in any aspect (experience
certificate, educational qualification certificate etc.) is liable to be rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under
any circumstances. Candidates are required to submit alongwith their applications copy
of certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications etc.
