To inculcate patriotic spirit and feeling, particularly in our women folks, Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls was established in 1969. The school is a living tribute to the heroic life of Rani Channamma and it is under the aegis of her spirit that the school now stands on the foot hills of Kittur in District Belgaum.
The school is 44 years old well established renowned premier institution, spread over a sprawling campus of 200 acres with student’s strength nearing 1,000. It is the only residential Sainik School for girls, modeled on the lines of Military Schools and Sainik Schools of the country.
Education at this institution lays emphasis on Discipline, Academic Excellence, National Spirit of Patriotism and Duty to Society. Renowned for its scholastics and co-scholastic excellence, the school is committed to achieve global standards in teaching-learning process and there by all round personality development of its students. ADMISSION NOTIFICATION ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION - 2014-2015
Applications are invited in the prescribed forms for admission of Girls (Including Staff Children ) to Standard VI for the academic year 2014-2015. Admission is subject to qualifying in the All India Entrance Examination conducted by this Institution.
AGE ELIGIBILITY : Candidates born between June 1, 2002 to May 31, 2004 and having passed Standard Vth are eligible for admission.
FEE STRUCTURE : Approximately Rs. 1,26,500/- Inclusive of lodging, Boarding, Uniform and other deposits/expenditure etc. Likely to be revised.
SCHOLARSHIP : Merit scholarships and merit cum mean scholarship as per Government of Karnataka Scholarship schemes will be awarded to the eligible girls of Karnataka Native/Domicile only.
RESERVATION : As per Government of Karnataka orders. Two seats each are reserved for Kittur Hobli and Defence Personnel.

INTERVIEW : Candidates who qualify in the written entrance test will only be called for interview as per their order of merit in the written test and availability of vacancies. Interview will be held at Kittur only. The interview would comprise of the following.
a) Physical Fitness Test: It includes 1 Km- Run, Horizontal & Vertical Jump to attain qualifying standards.
b) Medical Examination by School Medical Authority and
District Surgeon.
c) Interview by the Selection Board.
The final order of merit will be prepared by adding the Mark secured in the interview, to the marks secured in the written entrance test.
REGISTRATION : Prospectus along with application form will be available in the school office with effect from November, 1, 2013. Application form can also be downloaded from the school website www.kittursainikschool.org downloaded application form duly completed in all respect will be forwarded to the school along with Demand Draft only in favour of “Principal, KRCRSSG, Kittur” payable at Syndicate Bank/Canara Bank/SBI Kittur.
Cost of Prospectus: D.D. For Rs.1,800/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 1,400/- for SC/ST candidates [with authentic Caste Certificate] Last date for collection will be November 15, 2013. From November 16, 2013 to November 30, 2013 the cost of Prospectus will be Rs. 1800/- Plus Rs.200/ Penalty charges. Last Date for receiving duly filled in application forms [without penalty] will be November 25, 2013 and [with penalty] will be December 10, 2013.
Note:- Payment through Demand Draft only in favour of “Principal, KRCRSSG, Kittur” payable at Syndicate Bank / Canara Bank / SBI Kittur.
ADMISSION ON FULL FEE PAYMENT SCHEME : The candidates who are low in the order of merit [written test + interview] for admission to the school may be admitted to Class VI in case vacancies exist on Full Fee Payment scheme.
SPECIAL FEATURES : A) International Education / Exchange Program for staff and Students under the Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding between College of Education, Saginaw Valley State University ,USA & Carrollton Public School USA including visit to USA by the school staff and students.
B) Special Coaching Classes. Regular and rigarous coaching is organized for SSLC, PUC-I and PUC-II students during the summer / winter vacation. NEET/AIPMT/JEE Coaching through experts in the field, is also given to the students.
C) NCC Training : NCC training is compulsory to all girls admitted to the school. Girls upto PUC-II year are eligible to pass NCC ‘B’ Certificates.
Incomplete / Late application received by the school shall be rejected.
School is not responsible for non-receipt / delayed receipt of communications [Prospectus, Hall Tickets, Results etc].
Fees once paid/remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Submission of Self addressed envelope affixed with Rs.30/- Postal Stamps with acknowledgement card is compulsory along with the application form. Submission of Caste & Category, Kittur Hobli & defense Certificate [attested Xerox copy] of the candidate if applicable, shall be attached with the application form failing which the candidates shall be considered as Candidate Under General Category.
Note : Admission is strictly based on Merit List Prepared on the basis of Marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and Interview.
