Applications on plain paper with complete CV and list of publications are invited from candidates for filling up a post of Research Associate under a DST funded research project. The details are as follows:
1. Essential qualification: Ph.D. in Physical/Chemical science
2. Desired qualification: Experience of working in experimental soft matter science/polymer science/molecular biophysics as evidenced from publications.
3. Duration: up to 31 August 2016
4. Remuneration per month: Rs. 23, 000+HRA
5. Last date for submission of application: 25 October 2013 (by 1.00 pm)
6. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

JRF: One post
Minimum qualification: Candidate should be M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Chemistry with a good academic record.
Candidates should have at least one year of research experience in a relevant field with practical knowledge of handling Candida cell cultures and molecular biology techniques such as cloning, extraction of RNA and DNA etc.

"One Junior Research Fellow (JRF)" in the DST project project on "Structural and functional analysis of M. tuberculosis vaccine candidate EspC protein" at School of Life Sciences, Jawarharlal Nehru University.
1. For JRF:
Education: M.Sc in any branch of biological science with prior experience in structure and functional analysis of proteins.
Education: M.Sc in any branch of biological science with prior experience in structure and functional analysis of proteins.
Desirable : Proficiency in Gene cloning, Mutagensis, Protein expression in E. coli & Yeast system, protein refolding & purification, Crystallization & X-ray structure analysis, Modeling & Dynamics simulation work. The candidate should be CSIR/UGC/NET qualified.
Fellowship: Rs. 16,000+HRA
Tenure : The position is purely temporary, renewable six months and will continue until June, 2016 (the end of project) based on satisfactory performance.

Essential: At least Second class M. Phil in geography with Master's Degree in Geography with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
Experience in data- handling (Census, NSSO, NFHS etc.).
Desirable: Specialization in Human Geography. Research experience in gender and development related issues. Acquaintance with web-GIS will be an added advantage.
