Subject: Recruitment to the posts of Senior Resident / Junior
Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator at AIIMS, Rishikesh (UK)
Applications are invited from Indian Citizens, for the posts of Senior Resident / Junior
Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator (annexed herewith) for a period of eleven (11) months,
(extendable to maximum of 3 years) in the prescribed format and on other terms &
conditions, as available on the website– www.aiimsrishikesh.edu.in
Last date for applying to the above posts will be 04.10.2013 (by 17:00 hrs).
Candidates who have already applied for direct outsourcing of jobs in respect to the
posts of SR/JR at AIIMS, Rishikesh in response to advertisement No. F. No.
25/03/2013 (RIS)/Admn. , dated 08.07.2013, published in Hindustan & Time of
India on 11.07.2013 need not to apply again.
Date of interview of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the web-site of this
Institute i.e. www.aiimsrishikesh.edu.in Call letter for interview will be sent to shortlisted
candidates through e-mail mentioned by the candidates in the application form.
A. For Senior Residents
I. Essential Qualification:
For Medical Candidates:
a) A postgraduate medical degree Viz. MD/MS/MDS in the respective discipline from a
recognized University/Institute.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
b) (i) The candidate should possess M.Sc. Degree in the subject concerned and
(ii) Ph.D. in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
II. Upper Age Limit (AS ON 01.07.2013): 33 years.
i. Relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of 05 years, and in the case
of OBC candidates up to a maximum period of 03 years.
ii. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable upto
maximum period of 05 years for General Category, 08 years for OBC category and
10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
iii. For those applying for these posts after completing DM/M.Ch courses, the upper age
limit will be 35 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC
candidates & OPH candidates as mentioned above. III. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/OPH shall be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
IV. Approximate consolidated upper limit of monthly remuneration: Rs. 55,000/- (inclusive
of NPA). However, in the event of candidate having M.Sc. with Ph.D. the payable amount
will be as in the case of Non-Medical candidates.
B. For Junior Residents (Non Academic)
I. Essential Qualification:
i. The candidates should have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) or
equivalent degree recognised by MCI.
ii. Only those candidates who have passed MBBS (including Internship) not earlier
than three years before 01.07.2013.
II. Upper Age Limit (As on 01.07.2013): 30 years.
i. Relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of 05 years, for OBC
candidates up to a maximum period of 03 years.
ii. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable
upto maximum period of 05 years for General Category, 08 years for OBC
category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
III. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/OPH shall be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
IV. Approximate consolidated upper limit of monthly remuneration: Rs. 50,000/-
(inclusive of NPA).
C. For Tutors/ Demonstrators
I. Essential Qualification:
For Medical Candidates:
a. The candidates should have passed MBBS (including completion of
Internship) /MD or equivalent degree recognised by MCI.
b. Only those candidates who have passed MBBS (including Internship) not
earlier than three years before 01.07.2013.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
a. The candidate should possess M.Sc. Degree in the subject concerned from a
recognized University/Institute.
b. Preference will be given to Ph. D. candidates.II. Upper Age Limit (As on 01.07.2013): 30 years.
iii. Relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of 05 years, for OBC
candidates up to a maximum period of 03 years.
iv. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, relaxable
upto maximum period of 05 years for General Category, 08 years for OBC
category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
III. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/OPH shall be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
IV. Approximate consolidated upper limit of monthly remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- (inclusive of
NPA). However, in the event of candidate having M.Sc. the payble amount will be as in
the case of Non-Medical candidates.
C. APPLICATION FEE: General / OBC Category: Rs.1,000/- (SC/ST Category: Rs.800/-).
Payment to be made through demand draft/ pay order in the name of “ AIIMS, Rishikesh”
payable at Rishikesh or may be directly deposited in the AIIMS Bank A/c No.
6189000100021295 , Punjab National Bank, Pashulok Branh, Virbhadra Marg, Rishikesh by
the candidates who are sending their application through e-mail.
Application Procedure:
1. The candidates/ applicants may download the application form from the website of Institute
www.aiimsrishikesh.edu.in in A4 size and after filling up the form send the same
alongwith requisite enclosures and Demand Draft/ Pay Order as applicable to the Institute
at given address by Registered / Speed post or by hand before last date of receipt of
Application form.
Or
2. After filling up the application form, candidates/ applicants may scan the copy of application
form & all requisite enclosures (including receipt of fee deposited in Bank account of the
Institute) in PDF format and send the same through e-mail to this Institute at
srjrrishikesh@gmail.com by or before last date and time of receipt of application form.

(i) OBC Candidates required to attach certificate from appropriate authority, , and
Certified that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of
Certificate should not be earlier than 1 year from the last date of submission of
Application Form.
(ii) For SC, ST - Certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank officer in format
of State Govt./Central Govt. of India.
(iii) OPH - Certificate must be issued by State/Central Govt. Hospital.
Note:
Candidate should bring all Original Certificate - Degree, Internship Completion
certificate, Date of Birth, experience certificate, Caste certificate and MCI
registration for verification, without which no candidates shall be permitted to
appear for the interview. The original certificates i.e. MBBS/BDS/MD/MS/MDS etc.
Degree Certificate and Medical Registration Certificate of the candidate who joins at
the post of Junior Resident will be retained in the Academic Section.
If any candidate who leaves/resigns/terminated before the completion of the
tenure, he/she may do so by giving one month’s notice as per rules or by depositing
pay and allowances with the Institute for the period of which notice falls short of
one month or so.
The original certificates will be returned after depositing security of Rs. 30,000/-
or obtaining all no dues from the concerned Department/Sections of the Institute.
Canvassing in any form will result in cancellation of the candidature.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview and No TA/DA will be
paid for appearing in the interview.
Decision of the Director AIIMS Rishikesh will be final and binding. In case of any
dispute the jurisdiction of court will be Rishikesh/ Dehradun Only.
