 The Special Recruitment Drive by way of Walk-In-Interview for
SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates to the post of Senior Residents on regular basis in the
various departments of this hospital will be held in the office of the M.S., Safdarjang
Hospital & VMMC as per schedule and break up of vacancies as given below:-

Eligibility Criteria:
The Candidate should possess Post Graduate Degree/Diploma (approved by MCI) in the
concerned speciality after M.B.B.S. failing which MBBS with two years experience in a
Govt. organization out of which one year in the concerned speciality.

• ELIGIBILITY FOR DENTAL SURGERY :- The candidate should be MDS
(recognized by DCI) failing which BDS with two years experience in a government
organization. Other terms and conditions are same as in the case of other departments.

• ELIGIBILITY FOR ENDOCRINOLOGY- Desired qualification is MD/DNB in
Medicine or Paediatrics.

13 posts of SR are reserved for PWD (person with disability) including back log
vacancies as per DOPT, Govt. of India Rules.

PWD – Only Orthopaedically Handicapped are eligible (Medical Certificate from the
Govt. Institution is required at the time of interview).

Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- + 6600 (Grade Pay) + other allowances as admissible
as per Govt. of India Rules

AGE : 38 years (For SC/ST candidates)
 : 35 years (For OBC candidates)
 : For PWD candidates- upper age-limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules.


Conditions of Recruitment:
1. Eligible candidates will present themselves for registration between 9:30 A.M. to
11:00 A.M. in the Academic Section, Room No. 14, Ground Floor,
V.M.M.College on the specified date for the interview of the particular specialties
along with all relevant documents in original together with attested copies (by
Gazetted Officer) of all documents in support of their candidature for the post, one
passport size photograph and complete bio- data duly filled. No application will
be received after 11:00 A.M. Interview will be started from 11:30 A.M.
 2. Crucial date for determination of eligibility with reference to age, educational
qualification and experience etc. will be date of walk in interview of the
concerned speciality.
3. Candidate must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council/ Dental Council of
India (for PG Degree) before joining the post, if selected.
4. The tenure of Sr. Resident is for three years including any service rendered as Sr.
Resident earlier on adhoc/regular basis in any Govt. of India/state government
hospital. The appointment will be initially for a period of one year, which could be
extended for a period of three years on an annual basis subject to the satisfactory
work & conduct report from the concerned HOD.
5. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed
from time to time by the Govt. of India.
6. The candidate who is already in Govt. service should submit No Objection
Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.
7. Inter – hospital /Institution transfer shall not be permitted.
8. The candidate must bring following original certificates at the time of
registration-
a. Certificate in support of age (10th certificate).
b. Certificate in support of educational qualification.
c. Medical registration with DMC/DCI.
d. Marksheet of MBBS / BDS / MD /MS / DNB / part I ,II and final year.
e. Internship Completion Certificate.
f. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Pass Certificate.
g. SC/ ST/OBC/PH certificate in the prescribed format of Govt. of India.
h. Under graduate / Post graduate attempt certificate.
i. Experience certificate, if any.

**Candidate must submit the latest OBC certificate issued by the
competent authority of State/Govt. of India in Format given by DOPT
Govt. of India or for the appointment to the Central Government Job.)
9. The candidate must bring the filled application form as per format given in
Annexure- I and also paste recent passport size photograph on it.
10. No correspondence or personal inquiries shall be entertained.
11. The candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as
mentioned in the advertisement before coming for walk-in-interview.

Jurisdiction of Dispute- In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction of court will be Delhi
only.
