Indian Institute of Geomagnetism Various Posts

Applications are invited for the following Scientific/ Technical/ Administrative posts:

1. Associate Professor: 01 Post Qualifications: First class Masters degree in Physics/ Geophysics/ Applied Mathematics with at least 10 years research experience in the areas of Solid Earth Geophysics/ Geomagnetism. 2. Technical Officer II: 01 Post Qualifications: i). First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics/ Electronics or BE/ B.Tech. in Electrical/ Electronics engineering. ii). 4 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/ Institute/ University. 3. Technical Officer-I: 01 Post  Qualifications: i). First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics/ Math’s/ Geophysics/ Geology/ Electronics or BE (Electronics). ii). 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/ institute/ university. 4. Technical Officer-I (Library): 01 Post Qualifications: i) M. Lib Science, preferably with Physics or Mathematics in B.Sc. ii). 2 years experience of working in the Library in a reputed research laboratory/ institute/ university. 5. Technical Assistant (Library): 01 Post  Qualifications: First or high second class B. Lib. Science. preferably with Physics or Mathematics in B.Sc. 6. Accounts Officer: 01 Post  Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Commerce with 5 years experience in accounting and related work of which 3 years should be in the immediate lower grade or equivalent post in a supervisory capacity in Govt./ Semi Govt./ Public Sector Undertaking/ Private Sector of repute Or Masters degree in Commerce with 3 years experience in supervisory capacity in accounting and related work in Govt./ Semi Govt./ Reputed Public or Private Sector Organisation. Application Form: The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar by paying an application fee of Rs.100/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel either in person between 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday) Or it can be obtained by post by sending an application along with the application fees and a self- addressed stamped envelope of Rs.10/ - superscribing “Request for Application Form”. For SC / ST candidates, application form will be issued free of cost on production of valid caste certificate.
