6. Age Limit: 20 -39
Only candidates born between 02.01.1974 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply for this post. (For conditions regarding age relaxations, please see
para 2 of General Conditions).
7. Qualifications
First class Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ (Engineering) from a
recognised University after undergoing regular course of study.
Note:- Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department, Public
Health Engineering Department, Industries Department, Architecture and Town
Planning department may also apply. They will be allowed age relaxation to the
extent of their service in those departments. (Maximum age limit shall not exceed
50 years as on 01.01.2013.)
Liability to serve in Defence Services: Persons appointed to the post shall be liable, not
withstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve
for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence
services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years
of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

Note:- 1) In the appointment of Vocational Teacher preference will be given to persons having
additional qualification of Diploma in computer application from a recognized
institution.
2) All the Educational Qualifications for teaching posts should be one acquired after a
regular course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as
equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
