College of Arts PhD Scholarship Competition 2014
The College of Arts is delighted to be able to offer a number of Scholarships for students undertaking a doctoral programme in the College of Arts Graduate School in session 2014/15. These scholarships will include around 4 hours per week of internship duties.
Applications from new and continuing students are ranked by Subject Area committees and then considered by the College Scholarship Committee.
Elibility criteria:
- In order to be nominated for a scholarship, applicants must hold an unconditional or conditional offer of a place on a College of Arts PhD degree programme.
- Applicants must not be holding another full Scholarship for the 2014/15 academic session. Applicants holding a part scholarship (e.g. fees only or stipend only) may still be considered.
- Home, EU and International students are all eligible to apply. However, in the case of International students, any award may be limited to tuition fees only.
- Both new and continuing, full-time and part-time students may apply.
How do I apply for a Scholarship?All students, including continuing research students, wishing to be considered for a Scholarship should complete a Scholarship application form. Please ensure that you read the Guidance Notes for Applicants carefully before attempting the application form.
What is the value of the Scholarship?The 2014/15 annual stipend rate is still to be agreed. Scholarships normally offer an annual stipend, plus tuition fees at the Home/EU rate.
What is the deadline for applying?Applications for both Admissions and Scholarships must be submitted to the University by Monday, 13 January 2014. Applicants should expect to be informed of the outcome of the Scholarship competition by early May 2014.
