INTERVIEW
 Applications are invited for the post of One Research Associate, Two Junior Research
Fellows, and One Project Assistant for a period of three years in the DBT sponsored Indo- UK
project entitled “Using flow cytometry and genomics to characterize and optimize micro algal
bacterial consortia cultivated on waste water to produce biomass for biofuel”. Applications on
plain paper along with curriculum vitae duly supported by attested copies of mark
sheets/certificates should be sent to Dr. N. Thajuddin, Principle Investigator, DBT Indo-UK
project, Department of Microbiology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli 620 024,
Tamilnadu on or before 20.11.2013.
Mode of selection: Entrance test followed by interview for JRFs. Interview for RA and PA.
Position : One Research Associate (RA)
 Duration : Three years
 Fellowship : Rs. 22,000/- pm + 20% HRA.
Qualification : Ph.D in (Microbiology/Botany/Life Sciences) with specialization in
Microalgae/cyanobacteria, Biofuel production.
Position : Two Junior Research Fellows (JRF)
 Duration : Three years
 Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/- pm + 20% HRA.
Qualification : M.Sc. (Microbiology/ Botany/Life Sciences) with specialization in
Microalgae/cyanobacteria, Biofuel production. Preference will be given
to NET qualified candidates.
Position : One Project Assistant (PA)
 Duration : Three years
 Fellowship : Rs. 8,000/- pm (consolidated)
 Qualification : UG/PG in Science (or) any other discipline

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
