Job Contract Notice No.-02/ 2013
Applications are invited from retired Executive Electrical Engineer & Assistant Electrical
Engineer or equivalent or above in prescribed Performa for engagement on Contract basis for
one year on the following post for the work of Rural Electrification under supplementary DPR
projects of Patna, Gaya, Rohtas & Banka:-

Number of post may vary as per requirement of SBPDCL. PHP category applicant will be given
reservation as per rule.
1.0 Scope of work :-
The scope of work consists of site & office supervision/ monitoring/ planning/ execution
of the rural electrification work being implemented on turnkey basis by contractors in
the districts of Patna, Gaya, Rohtas & Banka or any other work assigned by SBPDCL.
The construction work includes construction/ augmentation/ R&M of 33/11 KV PSS, 33
KV/11 KV/LT Line, DSS and providing BPL/APL connections etc. as required.
2.0 Eligibility :-
Applicant must have retired from the post not below the rank of Electrical Executive
Engineer or equivalent (for post at Sl. No.-1) and from the post not below the rank of
Assistant Electrical Engineer or equivalent (for post at Sl. No.-2) from any of the
following Organisations:-
(i) Erstwhile BSEB and its successor entities
(ii) Any State Electricity Board/ Govt. Distribution Utility
(iii) Central or State Govt. Deptt.
(iv) Any State or Central PSUs
3.0 Qualification & Experience : –
3.1 Project Manager :-
i. Must have retired from the post not below the rank of Electrical Executive
Engineer or equivalent.
ii. Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
iii. Minimum 5 yrs experience in the relevant field as detailed in the scope of
work at Sl. No.-1.0
3.2 Sr. Engineer :-
i. Must have retired from the post not below the rank of Assistant Electrical
Engineer or equivalent.
ii. Have worked in capacity of Assistant Electrical Engineer or equivalent for
at least three years. 2
iii. Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
iv. Minimum 3 yrs experience in the relevant field as detailed in the scope of
work at Sl No-1.0
4.0 Age :-
Maximum 62 years as on 31-07-2013.
5.0 Remuneration :-
i. Project Manager – Rs. 12,000/-
ii. Senior Manager – Rs. 10,000/-
6.0 Reservation:-
Reservation rules will be applicable as per Government of Bihar reservation rules.
Candidates claiming for reservation benefit will have to submit Caste & creamy layer certificate
(for SC/ST candidates only caste certificate is required) & Domicile of Bihar Certificates issued
by competent authority. Candidate other than domicile of Bihar shall not be considered under
reserved category.
7.0 The candidate is required to submit following certificate.
(i) Pension Payment Order or last Pay drawn certificate from his employer.
(ii) Matriculation certificate for Date of Birth.
(iii) An Affidavit shown in before the first class Magistrate that he has never been
convicted by any court of law.
(iv) Clearance from his previous employer, certifying that no departmental proceeding
or vigilance case is pending against him.
(v) Good Health certificate from civil surgeon.
(vi) Details of work experience of the applicant is to be submitted.
8. General Terms :-
a. Initially the engagement is for two years, which may be renewed based on the
performance and conduct of engaged person and as per requirement.
b. If the services of the engaged person is found unsatisfactory, the engagement can
be terminated forthwith without any notice.
c. Before completion of Contract period, the Contract can be terminated by giving
one month notice or one month remuneration from either side.
d. In case any departmental proceeding or vigilance case is pending or if convicted by
any court of law his application will not be considered.
e. The candidate must be physically and mentally fit (Medical Fitness certificate from
Civil Surgeon will have to be enclosed with the application)
f. In the interest of the SBPDCL, the engaged person may be transferred anywhere
within the jurisdictions of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.
g. The engaged person shall be posted in the field offices within the territorial
jurisdiction of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.
h. Only Casual leave will be admissible. No other leave shall be admissible. 3
i. No other facilities shall be admissible to engaged person as admissible to the
regular employees of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.
j. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited reserves the right to accept or
reject any application without assigning any reason.
Application, in prescribed Proforma along with related documents, will
be received through Registered/Speed Post till 02/09/2013 during the office hour in the
office of the Sr. Manager (HR), South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited,
Vidhyut Bhawan, Bailey Road, Patna-800021. Application received after the last date of
submission of the application on account of postal delay or for any other reasons will
not be considered. Application sent by any other means will not be received /
considered.
