Requirement of Field Supervisors on Contract Basis
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a Mini Ratna PSU of the Ministry of Railways, invites applications from qualified,
young and energetic candidates for the post of Field Supervisors for its National Optic Fiber Network (NOFN)
projects in the Southern (Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry) and Western (Gujrat,DD & DN) Regions as per details given
below:

Candidates finally empanelled after the due process of selection, will be inducted as per actual requirement
and progress of the project from time to time)
Duration of the contract: Initially 3 years from the date of joining; extendable further on mutual consent
depending upon requirements of project and performance of the candidate
Qualification & Experience
Diploma (3 years) in Electronics/Telecom/Communication/Electrical with minimum 55% marks, with
minimum 3 (three) year managerial/supervisory experience in the field of execution of Optical Fiber
Cable based telecom Infrastructure Projects and/or operation and maintenance of Optical Fiber
Cable/equipment/network;
OR
BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Telecom/Communication/Electrical/IT/Computer Science or MCA with
minimum 55% marks, with minimum 1 (one) year managerial/supervisory experience in the field of
execution of Optical Fiber Cable based telecom Infrastructure Projects and/or operation and maintenance
of Optical Fiber Cable/ equipment/ network;
Preference will be given to candidates having minimum one year experience on any of Railtel’s
telecom infrastructure project and/or O&M of Railtel’s Telecom Network .
Medical Standards: Selected candidates will be required to pass the requisite medical fitness tests/standards, as
adopted by RailTel, before their appointment.
Remuneration: All inclusive consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.20000/- + EPF (employer’s contribution).
Deduction on account EPF (employees contribution) under EPF and MP Act, 1952, will, however, be made on the
specified minimum wages of the concerned state under Minimum Wages Act of the concerned state .
Selection procedure: The selection will be made through written test and /or interview of short-listed candidates at
a place to be decided by Railtel.

i. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and willing to be considered for the post should prefer
application typed on A-4 size paper in the proforma given at Annexure-I. ii. Vacancy Code Number and Name of the post should be superscribed on top-lefthand corner of the
envelope containing the application and the envelope should be addressed to the Manager (Rectt),
RailTel Corporation of India Limited, Corporate Office, 143, Institutional Area, Sector 44, Gurgaon-
122003.
iii. The application, complete in all respects, along with self attested photocopies of the following documents
should reach the above address by unregistered post on or before 13th Sept., 2013
a) Matriculation Certificate (for age proof),
b) Certificates in support of the required technical qualification.
c) Certificates in support of higher technical/professional qualifications, if any.
d) Certificates in proof of experience, clearly indicating the length and line of experience. (Mere
appointment/offer letters from previous employers will not be accepted as proof of experience)
e) Caste/Religion certificate (In case applicant belongs to SC/ ST/ OBC/ OBC(minority) community) and
f) Copy of the appointment letter in support of appointment to the post in the organization in which
currently working along with valid Identity card/current pay slip issued by the company.
g) Photo I.D. proof and address proof (Passport/Aadhar card/Driving Licence) issued by Central/State Govt.
NOTE:
