Assistant Professor: 02 Posts Qualification: First Class Post Graduates with PhD in relevant discipline and having consistently very good academic record. Experience: Three years post PhD or 6 years after M.Tech. Not counting PhD enrolment period in Teaching/ Research/ Industry [for AGP Rs.8000/-]. Scale of Pay: PB–3 (Rs.15,600–Rs. 39,100/-) with AGP of Rs.8,000/- for regular and AGP of Rs.7,000/- & Rs.6,000/- for on contract. Technical Assistant: 01 Post Qualifications: First class Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Sciences in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognised University/ Institute (Technical Assistant). OR First class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record. OR Postgraduate degree in science or BE/ B.Tech. in relevant field from a recognised University or Institute. Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years Scale of Pay: PB–2 (Rs.9,300–Rs. 34,800/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/- Technical Laboratory Assistant: 01 Post Qualifications: B.Sc. Degree in relevant field from a recognised University/ Institute. OR Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognised board and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. OR Matric with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. OR Diploma in Engineering of three years duration from a recognised Polytechnic / Institute. Age Limit: Not exceeding 27 years Scale of Pay: PB–1 (Rs.5,200–Rs.20,200/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.2,000/- Processing Fee: Rs.250/- for Assistant Professor and Rs.100/- for other posts in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, NIT Silchar payable at SBI NIT Silchar Branch.
