Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi is inviting applications for admission into its M.Phil. / PhD programmes 2014. Various M.Phil. / PhD Programmes offered by IGNOU include Translation Studies, Distance Education, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Theater Arts, History, Library and Information Science, Anthropology, Performing and Visual Arts with specialization in Fine Arts and Music, Tourism, Law, Rural Development and Nutritional Science. Eligibility Criteria The candidate should have the following eligibility criteria: For PhD in Commerce Program: Candidates having a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, with minimum 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognized institution of higher learning are eligible to apply. In the case of SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% will be admissible. For M.Phil./PhD in Translation Studies Program: Candidate done MA in Translation Studies with 55% marks. In the case of SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% will be admissible. How to apply? The candidate can download the application form from the IGNOU website.
