Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, the Central Transmission Utility of India and a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-State transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids. Applications are invited for the post of Executive Trainee (Electrical) Qualifications: Full time BE / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg) through full time from recognized University/Institute. Branches: Electrical/Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/Power Systems Engineering. AMIE: Electrical GATE 2014 Score Minimum Percentage of Marks: 65% or Equivalent Upper Age Limit: 28 years, as on 31/12/2013 Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: For OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 years. For SC/ST candidates: 5 years. For PwD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation (i.e. 10 years for a PwD candidate belonging to General category, 13 years for a PwD candidate belonging to OBC(NCL) category etc. J&K Domicile / Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of 1984 riots: As per Govt. of India directives. Number of Vacancies: Vacancies exist in Unreserved and reserved, i.e. OBC (NCL), SC and ST categories. Number will be announced in a separate notification on 07th January, 2014. Selection Process: GATE Score:Short listing based on Merit their marks (Out of 100) in the EE paper of GATE –2014. Further Short Listing: Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final Selection: Based on medical fitness in pre employment medical examination. Weightage to Different Parameters: Marks (out of 100) in the EE paper of GATE 2014: 85%. Group Discussion: 3%. Personal Interview: 12%. Compensation Package: During Training: Rs.7.65lakhs per annum. After Training: Rs. 13.4lakhs per annum.
