discipline. Minimum 10 years experience in teaching / Post Doctoral Research
/Professional work with at least 5 years experience of teaching at a University. The
candidates should have experience of teaching Post Graduate and PhD courses in
internationally recognized institutions. Minimum experience of 10 years should be
excluding the years required in attaining essential qualifications.
DESIRABLE (i) Membership of relevant professional bodies (ii) Research/ Professional
work publications in recognized/ refereed journals. (iii) Supervised Post-Graduate and
PhD scholars.(iv)Awards in research/ professional work. (v) Administrative experience at
senior level. (vi) International academic exposure would be given preference.
NOTE: Candidate with mixed experience of teaching and practice and with Bachelor’s
Degree in Architecture/Planning and Master’s Degree in Planning having 60% at either of
the level and having done professional work which is significant and can be recognized
equivalent to Ph.D in Planning and with 13 years of experience, out of which 5 years should
be at Senior Level, may also be considered.

of the levels in discipline of Planning or in relevant discipline.
DESIRABLE: (i) Doctoral Degree. (ii) Membership of relevant professional bodies. (iii)
Published research/professional work. (iv) Awards in research/professional work.
NOTE:
I. Candidate, who at the time of their recruitment as Assistant Professor possesses Doctoral
Degree shall be granted 5 advance non compounded increments at initial Basic Pay in
revised Pay Scale as per the 6th Central Pay Commission recommendations.
II. The deserving candidates may be offered higher Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs. 7000
and Rs.8000 in the above Pay Band commensurate with their higher qualification and longer
experience as per the UGC norms and as per recommendations of the Selection Committee
and also depending upon the available positions.
This benefit may be extended to those candidates also, who would receive their Ph.D award
within one year of their date of appointment at SPA ,Vijayawada with effect from the award
of Ph.D Degree.

Essential Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC
seven point scale along with
Experience:
Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000 and above with
experience in educational administration
or
Comparable experience in research establishment and or other institutions of higher
education recognised by GOI
or
5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post
Title of the Position : Assistant Registrar (1 Post UR, 1 Post on Deputation)
(Pay Scale: 15600-39100 - Grade Pay: 5400 - Pay Band: 3)
Upper age limit : 35 Years
Essential Qualifications:
Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of “B’ in the UGC seven
point scale with good academic record along with five years of experience as Section
Officer or equivalent in the field of Establishment / administration / academics or its
equivalent preferably in Government / Semi - Government / autonomous bodies / University
or educational Institute of repute.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in administrative and academic working procedures in a higher technical /
education and familiarity and Government of India rules.
Title of the Position : Section Officer (2 Posts UR, 2 Posts on Deputation)
Pay Scale: 9300-34800 - Grade Pay: 4800 - Pay Band: PB-2
Upper age limit : 35 Years
Essential Qualifications:
A Master’s degree from a recognized University with five years of continuous service holding
analogous post on regular basis in Universities / Technological Institutions.
Experience: Possessing 5 years experience in administration/ establishment/ accounts /
Finance/purchases and exposure to computer based administrative functioning will be given
preference.
Title of the Position : Assistant Librarian (1 Post UR)
(Pay Scale: Rs.15600- 39100. AGP Rs.6000/-; Pay Band: PB-3)
Upper age limit : 45 Years
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Library Science/ Information science / Documentation Science or
equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade where
grading system is followed and consistently good academic record with knowledge of
computerisation of library.
- Qualify in the National level test for the purpose conducted by UGC or any other
Agency approved by UGC.
Candidates who are, or have been awarded with Ph.D degree in accordance with UGC
Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment.
Desirable Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in Library /Computerisation of Library in a reputed educational
Institution of which 3 years shall be as Senior Library Assistant or equivalent post.
Title of the Position : Private Secretary (1 Post UR)
(Pay Scale: 9300-34800.AGP Rs.4600; Pay Band: PB-2)
Upper age limit : 45 Years
Essential Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized university with good academic record.
At least 3years of experience as personal assistant in Central/ State Govt or any P S U/
corporation/ Autonomous bodies/ Reputed Institutions.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Well versed in computerized word processing.
- Proficiency in English Short hand (100 wpm) and English type writing (40 wpm).
- Diploma in Office Management & Secretarial Procedures or equivalent.
Title of the Position: Graphic Designer/ Senior Technical Assistant (Publications)

Master Degree in Design or PG Diploma in Design with 2 years experience in publishing
industry

Government/Semi Government/ Autonomous bodies/ Institutions of repute/ Recognised
University.
Title of the Position : Personal Assistant (1 Post UR, 1 Post Deputation)
Pay Scale: 9300-34800 - Grade Pay: 4200 - Pay Band: PB-2
Upper age limit : 32 Years
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University and Diploma in Stenography & Secretarial
Practice from a reputed Institute with a typing speed of 100 / 40 w.p.m. in English
shorthand / typing with computer knowledge and having 3 years experience in Secretarial /
Clerical work.
Desirable Qualifications: (i) Possessing certificate / Diploma in Computer application Office
management and secretarial practice in Government Educational Institutions / Universities.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. All the above posts c a r r y s a l a r y a s p e r the Central
Government pay scales and carry allowances like House Rent
Allowance, Transport Allowance and Children’s educational allowance
as admissible to Central Government Employees of the respective
scale posted in Vijayawada. These posts are governed by New
Pension Scheme of Govt. of India and will be eligible for other
benefits like Medical, LTC etc., as per the Institute norms and
various Orders issued by GOI from time to time.
2. The School reserves the right to increase or decrease the No. of posts
or not to make any recruitment to any post(s), to shortlist candidates
for interviews and to accept or reject any application without assigning
any reason.
3. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from UGC
recognized Universities / Institutions.
4. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ Ex-Serviceman etc., will be as per
Govt. of India norms against submission of relevant certificates in the
format prescribed by Govt. of India.
5. Age should not exceed the upper limit as on the closing date for
receipt of completed application. However, age relaxation will be
considered in case of SC / ST / OBC/ Ex-serviceman / PH as
applicable. Age relaxation will also be given for exceptionally
meritorious candidates.
6. Persons serving in Govt. /Semi-government / PSU /
Autonomous bodies /Govt. funded Institutions / Universities should
send their application through Proper channel or should furnish a “No
Objection certificate” at the time of written test / interview. They can
however send an advance copy of their application along with the
demand draft in original. If the application is not forwarded through
proper channel or is not accompanied by “No objection certificate” at
the time of interview, his / her candidature will not be considered and
No TA will be paid.
7. Candidates applying for more than one post may apply separately for
each post.
8. Institute would welcome applications from Indian Nationals living
abroad. The Institute proposes to conduct interviews tentatively in
Feb/March 2014 and applicants are requested to plan their schedule
accordingly. International travel will not be paid to any candidates.
9. The prescribed essential qualifications / experience indicated are bare
minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the
candidates to be called for interview. When number of applications
received towards an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or
possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute
may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test /
interview on the basis of qualification higher than that of minimum
prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should therefore
furnish details of all qualifications and experience possessed in the
relevant field over and above the minimum qualifications
prescribed along with documentary evidences.
10. The posts carry usual allowances as per Central Government rules
but these posts are covered under pension scheme as applicable
w.e.f. 01.01.2004 to employees of Government of India.
11. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid TA as per rules.
12. No interim queries / correspondence will be entertained on the matter.
13. Canvassing in any form and or bringing any influence, political or
otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
14. Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied
by any certificate/documents/photograph / DD and / or those
received after the last date, will be summarily rejected. Attested
copies of certificates, mark sheets, testimonials etc., are to be attached
with the application. Original certificates should not be enclosed
to the application. The original documents will be verified at the time
of Interview. Please use a separate sheet wherever required. Name
of the post and post number applied for should be clearly written in
the application, failing which the application will not be considered.
15. The School reserves the right to accept or reject any application
without assigning any reason. The School will not be responsible for
any postal loss or delay.
