PUBLIC APPOINTMENTS – WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Walk-In-Interview for the following posts on contract basis for a period not exceeding six months at first instance will be conducted as
per schedule given below:-

Candidates
should report before 9.00 A.M. in the office of Principal, Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (Degree Wing),
Sector-26, Chandigarh along with original testimonials and one Xerox copy and one photograph as per above schedule along with
presentation (PPT) in their respective subject area.

The Qualifications, Experience and Age for the posts are as under:
A. Qualifications & Experience:
 Assistant Professor (Civil Engineering):-
 (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Civil
 Engineering with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and Master of
 Engineering or Master of Technology from a recognized university or institution.
 Note If a Class or division is not awarded, minimum of sixty percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent
 to first class or division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the Cumulative Grade Point Average will be converted into
 equivalent marks as below:-

 Assistant Professor (Applied Science –Physics & Chemistry):-
 Essential (i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least percent marks (or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian
University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

 (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by
the University Grants Commission, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or similar accredited by the University Grants
Commission like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) or Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).

 (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a
 Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of
 Ph.D. Degree) regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National
Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test for Lectureship for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities or Colleges or Institutions.

 (iv) National Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test for Lectureship shall also not be required for
such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which National Eligibility Test/State Level Eligibility Test/State Eligibility Test for
Lectureship is not conducted.

 Note-1. Where the University or College or Institution declare results in grade point which is on a scale of seven. The
 following mechanism shall be referred to ascertain equivalent marks in percentage:-
 O-Outstanding, A-Very Good, B-Good, C-Average, D-Below Average, E-Poor, F-Fail.

B. AGE:
 Not exceeding 35 years. Relaxation will be given to Reserve categories as per Govt. Instructions.
C. RESERVATION:
 Candidates belonging to SC’s/OBC’s categories will be considered on the ground of equity and justice.
D. PAY:
 The consolidated salary is . 34600/- p.m.
