Vacancies of Stenographers on contract basis.
Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals (citizens of India as defined in
the Constitution of India or under any law made by the Parliament to regulate the rights
for citizenship) for engagement as Stenographers, initially 10 in numbers, in the
Delhi High Court purely on contract basis on a consolidated remuneration of `25000/-
per month, initially for a period of 6 months which is likely to be extended from time to
time. However, the contract can be terminated at any point of time without any notice.
The selected candidates will have no right to claim regular / continuing service as
'Stenographer' in this Court. The last date for receipt of applications is 20.12.2013.
Essential Qualification:- Graduate with speed of not less than 100 w.p.m. in
shorthand (English) and typing speed (English) of 40 w.p.m. on computer with
proficiency in computer. (Only candidates with above proficiency in Shorthand and
typing need to apply).
Mode of Selection:- Selection shall be made on the basis of Skill Test comprising of
Shorthand test and Typing test.
Age limit:- 32 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
How to apply:- Willing candidates may submit their applications giving necessary
particulars i.e (1) Name of the candidate, (2) Father’s Name, (3) Postal Address for
correspondence with telephone number & e-mail address (4) Permanent address,
(5) Date of Birth (as recorded in the matriculation certificate), (6) Age as on 1.1.2013,
(7) Educational and Technical Qualification, (8) Relevant Experience (to attach
experience certificate) (9) Place where presently working and nature of work, along
with two recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer,
accompanied by attested copies of certificate in regard to date of birth, qualifications
and experience to the Joint Registrar(Estt.-I), 2
nd Floor, Administrative Block, Delhi
High Court Compound, New Delhi, so as to reach him by the due date.
Illegible, Incomplete, Unsigned applications and the applications received after
the due date, shall be rejected summarily without notice and no inquiry in that regard
will be entertained.
Candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility
conditions for the post. However, their admission to the skill tests shall be at their own
risk and responsibility as to eligibility, and their candidature will be purely provisional at
all stages and will be subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on
verification at any stage before or after the Skill tests, it is found that any candidate
does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, or the information furnished by the
candidate is found incorrect, his/her candidature for the post shall stand cancelled
without any notice or further reference. While applying, the applicants should also bear
in mind that the selected candidates will have to work even at odd hours and on
holidays, if so required.
No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for appearing in the skill tests.
The dates of Shorthand Skill Test and Type Test will be intimated by e-mail and
will also be displayed on the website of this Court (www.delhihighcourt.nic.in). The
candidates are advised to regularly check the website of this Court for the purpose.
