SAIL, a Maharatna Company, and a leading steel-making company in India with a turnover of Rs. 49350 crore  (FY 2012-13) is in the process of modernizing and expanding its production units, raw  material resources and other facilities to maintain its dominant position in the Indian steel market. 4. EMOLUMENTS & OTHER BENEFITS : In addition to Basic Pay, the pay scale carries industrial DA as admissible. The selected candidates are also entitled to get other facilities such as Medical benefits for self and dependent family members, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Perquisites under cafeteria approach as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent Allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available.

  1. PROBATION:
The selected candidates shall be placed under probation for one year before confirmation.

  1. 6.   SELECTION The mode of selection will be Written Test followed by Interview. Written test will be held at Kolkata and interview will be held at Ranchi. (Selection will be subject to candidates being found medically fit by the company’s medical Board and decision of the company’s medical board will be final in this regard. Outstation candidates called for interview for the said posts shall be reimbursed single to and fro rail fare to the extent of AC 3 Tier by shortest route on production of proof of journey performed, for posts of Asstt. Manager.

  1. MEDICAL STANDARDS : Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect. Medical standards stipulate minimum requirements of Weight 45 kg; Height 155 cm; Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, not to exceed ± 4.00 in each eye and no squint or colour blindness. Suitable relaxation in height and weight will be given to female candidates. 

8. HOW TO APPLY 


Before registering their applications on the website the candidates should possess the following:
a)    Valid e-mail ID and Mobile No., which should remain valid for at least one year.
b)    Have latest passport size coloured photograph as well as photograph of own signature, both in digital format (.jpg or jpeg file only, each not more than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application.
c)    Journal No./Transaction No., as a proof of having submitted examination fee of Rs.500/- for General and OBC Candidates or Rs.100/- as processing fee for SC/ST/PWD/ Departmental candidates.
d)     Candidates are advised to read carefully instructions for online submission of application. The same will be available in the website itself.
e)    After applying online, the candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number.




9. MODE OF PAYMENT OF APPLICATION/PROCESSING FEE :

The application/ processing fee can be paid by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking online through the payment gateway made available. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates. After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application portal, following the instructions available on the screen. No change/editing will be allowed thereafter. On successful completion of the transaction, Registration Slip with Unique Transaction Number and Application Number will be generated, which may be printed for record. If the online transaction is not successfully completed, candidates will be required to register again and make online payment. If the candidate does not receive the registration slip with unique transaction no. his/her online application will not be considered complete and he/she has to make payment again.  Failed Transaction amount will be automatically refunded to same A/c from which payment was originally made, within seven working days. 

While submitting the application online, candidates should note the following:
  • After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slipwith unique registration number and other essential details and retain a copy of the same.
  • Candidate must enter his/her name as it appears in the educational certificate of Matriculation or equivalent examination. In case of change of name at a later stage, necessary documentary proof to be submitted at the time of interview.
  • Candidates are not required to send any document for appearing in the written test. However, candidates shortlisted for interview would be required to furnish documents regarding proof of date of birth, qualification, experience, category, etc. at the time of interview as per intimation given to the shortlisted candidates.
  • While filling the online application, candidates must carefully follow all the steps. Incomplete application/ application without fee / application not fulfilling any eligibility criteria will be rejected summarily. No communication will be entertained from the applicants in this regard.
IMPORTANT :

All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/ interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email/uploading on SAIL website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card/interview call letter/ any other information shall be of the candidate. 10.  GENERAL CONDITIONS :
  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply against this advertisement
  • Before applying the candidate should read all the instructions to ensure about his/her eligibility. There registration will be provisional. Only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be issued admit card/interview call letter. Mere issue of admit card/interview call letter will not imply acceptance of candidature. If at any stage, it is detected that the candidate has given false information; his candidature will be rejected forthwith.
  • While applying the candidates should enter their full name as it appears in the matriculation / secondary certificate, clear & complete postal address, mobile numbers and e-mail address.

  • Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit by the Company’s Medical Board as per standard laid down under SAIL Medical & Health policy.

completion of 1 year of successful working in RITES.
Selection process:
The shortlisted candidates would be called for written test / Interview at RITES Corporate Office,
Gurgaon. Candidates have an option to appear for interview either in Hindi or English.

RITES’ regular employees fulfilling the educational qualification and experience criteria may
apply for the position. Such candidates shall be given age relaxation of 5 years, over and above
the upper age limit indicated above.

1. Interested candidates fulfilling the above laid down eligibility criteria are required to apply
online in the registration format available in the Career Section of the RITES website,
http://www.rites.com on or before 1700 hrs. of 26.11.2013.

2. While submitting the online application the system would generate ‘Registration No.’ on
the top of such filled online form. A copy of this form containing the registration number
is to be printed, signed, and furnished alongwith attested copies of educational,
experience certificates and 2 recent passport size colour photographs to the
AGM(P)/Rectt., RITES Ltd., RITES Bhawan, Plot No.1, Sector-29, Gurgaon – 122001
through post so as to reach him definitely by 05.12.2013. The candidate is advised
to keep a copy of such application form with him and to carry the same at the time
of the interview if called. Candidates who have registered online but whose
physical application along with aforesaid documents is not received by the due
date, their candidature will not be considered.

3. Candidates not fulfilling the minimum laid down criteria advertised with respect to
educational qualifications, age, and experience for selection to the respective post,
would not be able to register online.
4. Candidates should submit only single application and application once submitted cannot
be altered. A valid e-mail ID is essential for submission of the online application. RITES
will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail sent to the candidates.

General instructions:
a) The original testimonials/documents alongwith the copy of the online registered data will
have to be produced at the time of interview. If any of their claim is found to be incorrect,

RESERVATION AND RELAXATIONS
1. The prescribed qualifications, experience and the age limit shall be reckoned as on 30/11/2013. The
upper age is relaxable for different categories as under:
a. Upto a maximum of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
b. Upto a maximum of 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
c. Upto a maximum of 10 years if the candidate is a physically handicapped person.
d. For candidates belonging to SC/ST who are physically handicapped, the maximum age relaxation is 15
years.
e. For candidates belonging to OBC who are physically handicapped, the maximum age relaxation is 13
years.
2. Candidates for different categories will be required to produce the requisite certificate, in the prescribed format of
Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year, at the time of submitting the
application.
3. The OBC candidates who comes under ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled for OBC relaxation and they will
be treated in the category of ‘General’.
4. Concession for J&K Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had
ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01-01-
1980 to 31-12-1989. Any applicant intending to avail the relaxation under this Category shall have to submit a
certificate from the District Magistrate in Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction she/he had ordinarily
resided or any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that
she/he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the
period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989.
5. The Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) or
Short-Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least five years military services as on
01st August, 2013 and have been released :-
(i) On completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year
from 01st August, 2013) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or
inefficiency; or
(ii) On account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment, shall be allowed maximum
relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.
HOW TO APPLY:

SELECTION PROCESS:
Post Code from 1 to 5:
 The selection process for post code from 1 to 5 will consist of Interview only.
 The company will intend to call for interview with a ratio of 1:5.
Post Code from 6 to 10:
 The selection process for post code from 6 to 10 will consist of Written Test (WT) and Interview (I). The written
test will be conducted at Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
 The Question Paper for Written Test will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi. The Written Test for will consist of
100 multiple choice questions on General Aptitude consisting of Reasoning, Data Analysis, Numerical Ability,
General Awareness, Current Affairs,English Grammar and relevant discipline. The ratio of written test will be
60% from relevant discipline and 40% from General Aptitude. The duration of Written Test is 2 hrs. All Multiple
Choice Questions carry equal 3 marks. There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
 On qualifying the Written Test, the Interview will be held for short-listed candidates.
A candidate has to appear in all the phases of the recruitment process to be eligible for the selection.

GENERAL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS:
