Departments offering PhD: Computer Science and Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical, Materials & Energy Engineering Eligibility: M.Tech./ ME/MS or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent degree with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) (55% marks for SC/ST). Exceptional candidates having B.Tech./ BE qualification with valid GATE score can apply for direct admission to PhD programme. A candidate with a Bachelor's degree from any IIT and having a CGPA/ CPI score of 8.00 (out of 10.0) and above are exempted from requirement of GATE qualification. Candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 200/- (for SC/ ST Rs. 100/-) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, IIT Ropar, payable at Rupnagar.
