SCAR, COMNAP Fellowships, 2015 in Antarctic Research

Fellowship details: SCAR: A total of 4 to 5 fellowships for the year 2015 each with USD $15,000. Provides economy-class round-trip travel and allowances as needed during the fellowship period. The applicant's home institute bears all the expenses incurred in his/her home country (domestic travel, visa costs, etc.), and the host institute will waive any bench fees that they might normally charge trainees. COMNAP: A total of 1 to 2 fellowships for the year 2015 each with USD $15,000. Provides economy-class round-trip travel and allowances as needed during the fellowship period. Eligibility: SCAR: Current PhD researcher or within 5 years of finishing PhD. Allowing researchers to visit major international laboratories, field facilities, and/or institutes in or run by a SCAR member country which is different from the applicant's origin . Should contribute to the objectives of one or more of the standing scientific groups and the current Scientific research programmes. COMNAP: Current Postgraduate/PhD researcher or within 5 years of finishing the highest degree obtained. Visiting a facility in or run by a COMNAP member's country, which is different from applicant's country Should contribute to one or more objectives of the home or host National Antarctic programme.
