The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India (OCSI) Scholarships, 2015

ScholarshipsField of Study:
Applicant must intend to pursue a course of study in one of the following:
  • Research leading to the PhD degree
  • One-year post-graduate courses (e.g., M.Phil., LL.M, Diploma, CASM or Part III Maths, MBA, PGCE etc.)
  • Taught and research based Masters programmes of various duration (including M. Sc., engineering, medicine)
  • Second Bachelors degree as an Affiliated Student/Senior Status
  • Bachelors degree programme.

Scholarship details:
  • No.of OCSI Scholarship(s):1 (although the exact number and value of awards may change from year to year).
  • OCSI scholarship(s) worth INR 400,000 (Rs. 4 Lacs only) tenable at either the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford
  • One scholarship worth INR 100,000 (Rs. 1 Lac only) tenable only at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge •
  • One scholarship worth INR 100,000 (Rs. 1 Lac only) tenable only at St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford
  • Richard and Lydia Evans Bursary also offering the scholarship for a gifted Indian Dalit student to study at Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge

Eligibility:
Applicant must:
  • be a citizen of India
  • be ordinarily resident in India
  • be a graduate of an Indian university
  • have applied for and secured admission to study a full-time course at the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford.
  • Have to present proof of admission and proof of having taking up residence at Cambridge or Oxford before grant of the scholarship

Age limit:
  • Age of the applicant must be not more than 30 years as on 1 September of the year of application
