Eligibility: Ph.D degree holders are eligible to apply within five years after completion of PhD Maximum Age is 35 years (relaxable by 5 years for women and reserved (SC/ST/ PwD) category). How to apply: The candidates may send scanned copies of his/her application form, along with all the supporting documents to the address given below Deputy Registrar Academic Affairs IIT Guwahati, Guwahati-781039 Selection Process: The applications received by the Academic Section will be forwarded to the respective Departments for short listing of candidates to be called for interview. The concerned departments will send back the applications along with recommendations to the Academic Section. The softcopy as well as hard copy of the interview call letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates by the Academic Section. Candidates called for interview are eligible for reimbursement of to and fro AC II tier railway fare by the shortest route. For a selected candidate who had obtained his/her PhD from IIT Guwahati, the mentor faculty member shall be other than the candidate’s PhD Supervisor (s). Last date for receipt of completed applications: Applications may be sent upto 15 days prior to the tentative schedule of interview (will be displayed in the website) in case of candidates from within India and upto 8 days before the date of interview for those applying from abroad. Otherwise, the application will be considered in the next round of selection committee. Selection committee meeting will be held minimum 2 times and maximum 4 times a year as and when required.
