Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) is inviting applications for Post Graduate Diploma (PGDC) in Thermal Power Plant Engineering, Post Diploma (PDC) in Thermal Power Plant Engineering programme for the academic year 2014
Programmes of Offer: 1) Post Graduate Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering Eligibility: PGDC Thermal: B-Tech / B.E. or equivalent in Elect. / Mech. / C&I / E & C / Power Engg. 2) Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering Eligibility: Dip. in Elect./Mech. Engg. Those appearing final year examination can also apply. Duration of Course: 52 weeks Total Seats: 60 for each of the courses. Selection Criteria: PGDC: Based on marks of 10th ,12th , Engg. Degree Or GATE 2014. PDC: 10th and or 12th , Diploma Sponsored Seats: 10% seats reserved for the sponsored candidates from SEBs/ Power utilities having requisite qualification with 1 year relevant experience for both the courses. Age Limit: Non-sponsored: 27 yrs. as on 22.09.2014 (PGDC) and 26 Yrs. as on 15.09.2014 (PDC). No age limit forthe sponsored candidates. Fees: Non-sponsored: 21,80,000/ (PGDC), 21,10,000/- (PDC) and Sponsored: 22,30,000/- (PGDC), 21,25,000/ - (PDC) excluding lodging & boarding charges. Placement: Though CBIP is not committed for any confirmed placement, students of previous batches have been placed in various companies through CBIP's linkages and the efforts of students themselves.
