National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, offers Scholarship for Artistic and Innovative Excellence.
Objective Promote the Art Education at all stages of school education so that ‘we retain our unique cultural identity in all its diversity’ Art Education include Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Theatre. Class Covered & Duration Classes IX - XII for a period of four year till they complete Class XII Scholarship Amount An awarded of scholarship Rs 500 per month for a period of four year till they complete Class XII. Mode of Selection 1. Local level by organizing 2-day camps in which 8 children (2 in each stream) are identified at the local level 2. Zonal Levels by organizing 3 days camps in which local experts, specialists from six zones, namely North, East, West, Central, South-I and South -II participate for selection of children. 3. National Levels by organizing 4 day camps from the six zones in the country. A panel of experts and resource persons representing the four streams are identified to observe and assess the creativity of children. Conditions of eligibility Pursuing studies in classes 9th to 12th Announcement of the Scheme The zonal selection for children for Bal Bhavan camps is sent to National Bal Bhavan by 30 July (sometimes date varies).
