Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai, invites applications for admissions into 3 years Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT), Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT), 1½ years Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD / CAM (PD-PMD), Postgraduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT), 2 years Master of Engineering / Master of Technology (M.E. / M.Tech.) in Plastics Engineering / Technology, M.Tech. in Polymer Nano Technology, M.E. in CAD / CAM, 5 years Master of Science (M.Sc.) Tech in Material Science & Engineering, M.Sc. in Polymer Science and M.Sc. in Bio-Polymer Science for the year 2014. Eligibility For M.E. / M.Tech. in Plastics Engineering & Technology Program: All the candidates must have passed B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Polymer / Plastics Engineering / Tech or M.Sc. Polymer Science / Chemistry with polymer specialization. For M.Sc. in Polymer Science: All the candidates must have passed B.Sc. in Chemical / Industrial / Polymer Sciences / Applied Chemistry / Industrial Polymer Chemistry / Chemistry as one of the major subject. How to Apply Interested candidates can apply through online. Information brochure and application form can be obtained from any of CIPET centres against payment of Rs. 100/- for general candidates and Rs. 25/- for SC/ST candidates in cash or demand draft drawn in favour of “CIPET” payable at Chennai. Candidates belonging to North-Eastern states can get the application forms free of cost by producing their residential proof/appropriate support documents. Selection Procedure Selection for all courses is as below. CIPET Programs-based on academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance Examination. For PG Programs-selection through respective affiliating university norms/through CIPET JEE. For UG Programs-selection through respective affiliating university as per their norms. Last date for receipt of filled in application forms/online application with enclosures at CIPET Head Office: Friday, June 13, 2014. Date of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE): Sunday, July 13, 2014.
