Central Institute of Fisheries Technology: Various Posts

  1. Technical Assistant (Laboratory Technician): 04 PostsQualification:Bachelors degree in Zoology/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Fisheries Science/ Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
  2. Technical Assistant (Field/ Farm): 02 Posts
    Qualification: Bachelors degree in Agriculture/ Sociology/ Statistics/ Economics/ Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
  3. Technical Assistant (Press & Editorial) Hindi Translator: 01 Post
    Qualification: i). Bachelors degree in Hindi Language or equivalent qualification from a recognised university, with three years experience in science writing and science journalism in Hindi as evidenced by published material. ii). Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
  4. Stenographer Gr. III: 02 Posts
    Qualification: 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university.
  5. Lower Division Clerk: 07 Posts
    Qualification: i). 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university. ii). A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35w.p.m. and 30w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
  6. Lower Division Clerk (Hindi Typist): 01 Post
    Qualification: i). 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university. ii). A typing speed of 30w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (30w.p.m.correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
  7. Skipper Grade II: 04 Posts
    Qualification: i). Matriculation or equivalent qualification. ii). Certificate of competency as Skipper. iii). Five years practical experience on board fishing vessel after obtaining Mate Fishing Vessel Competency Certificate.
Application Fee: DD of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit–CIFT” payable at Cochin should be enclosed along with the application. The application fee paid by way of Indian Postal Orders/ Money Orders etc. will not be accepted. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST category are exempted from payment of application fee. Persons with disabilities are also exempted from payment of fee subject to submission of prescribed medical certificate.

How to Apply: The completed application in the prescribed format along with all relevant documents should reach the Director, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Willingdon Island, Matsyapuri P.O., Cochin- 682029, Kerala.
