Qualifications: i) A consistently good academic record with minimum of 55% marks in the Master degree and Second class Honours degree in the relevant subject or the equivalent. ii). BT/ B.Ed./ PGBT or equivalent qualifications. iii). Good power of expression in Bengali–spoken and written.

7. Bengali Master: 01 Post
Qualifications: i). Second class Masters degree or Honours degree in Bengali. ii). Degree in teaching or education or equivalent (a candidate not possessing this qualification may apply but if selected shall have to acquire such qualification within three years of joining the post and will draw on an ad-hoc basis the initial of the time scale of pay till obtaining the same). iii). Teaching experience in English medium secondary schools, preferably residential ones, relax able for otherwise well -qualified candidates & iv). Ability to teach in English medium.

8. Principal: 07 Posts
Qualifications: i). Masters degree of two years duration (regular) course, with Honours at Graduation level, having at least 55% marks in any school teaching subject and Diploma/ Degree in Education/ Primary Education with 55% marks. Or M.Ed./ M.Ed. (Elementary) with 55% marks or MA in Education with 55% marks and Diploma/ Degree in Primary/ Elementary Education with 55% marks. ii). Qualifications: i). Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognised university/ institute or any other qualification as mentioned in the First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 (52 of 1984) & ii). (I) Equivalence for Ph.D. is based on publication of 5 International Journal papers, each Journal having a Cumulative
Impact Index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main author and all 5 publications being in the authors’ area of
specialization.
(II) Ph.D. shall be from a recognized University.
(III) For an incumbent Assistant Professor, experience at the level of Assistant Professor will be considered equivalent
to experience at the level of Associate Professor, provided the incumbent Assistant Professor has acquired or acquires
Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline.
(IV) Experience at diploma institutions is also considered equivalent to experience in degree level institutions at
appropriate level and as applicable. However, qualifications as mentioned in these rules shall be mandatory.

equivalent and Master degree stage.

Essential: Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering of a recognized University or its equivalent.
Desirable: One year’s post-graduate practical training or study or research or practical engineering
experience.

AGE: Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2013 relaxable for those who have been in the employment of the
Central or the State Government or any statutory body recognized for the purpose by the Government and are
not out of such employment for more than a year on 01.01.2013 upto the extent of actual period spent
continuously in such employment.

NOTE: (i) Candidates will be selected on the basis of a competitive examination followed by interview;
(ii) eligible candidates would be called in for the written examination. Thereafter candidates qualifying in the
written examination would be called to interview; (iii) the syllabus for the written examination will generally
be in conformity with the educational standard/technical qualifications as prescribed in the essential
qualification. Details of the syllabus and date, time and venue of the written examination will be intimated to
eligible candidates in due course; (iv) the Commission reserves the right for fixing qualifying marks both for

statistical data or research in Statistics & (ii) Practical knowledge in computer analysis and programming.

West Bengal for persons having higher qualification and/or longer experience than those prescribed.

VETERINARY SERVICES UNDER ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT – SIXTY

Postal Order which MUST BE PURCHASED ON A DATE AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS ADVERTISEMENT AND ON OR
BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary,
Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the
Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other
fees”. The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. will not be
accepted. No application will be considered unless accompanied with the requisite application fees. Candidates belonging to
S.C./S.T. of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities specified under Persons with Disabilities Rules, 1999 are not required
to pay any fee. The application of such candidates will not be accepted if the same is not accompanied with the attested copy
of S.C./S.T./Persons with Disabilities certificate. Such exemption of fees is, however, not applicable to any O.B.C. (category „A‟
or „B‟) candidate. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.

1. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one category of posts should submit separate Application along
with requisite fees for each
2. The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by
Government.
3. All the degrees/diplomas/certificates mentioned in the advertisement must have been obtained from recognized
Universities/Institutions.
4. The prescribed ‘essential qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle
applicants to be called in for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the
advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the
Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either
higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/ higher standard of marks/grade obtained in the essential
qualifications or experience in relevant field higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or
on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test. IN THE CASES OF SCREENING TEST/ WRITTEN TEST,
CANDIDATES SUFFERING FROM BLINDNESS OR LOW VISION WILL BE ALLOWED THE HELP OF A
SCRIBE, IF REQUIRED.
 If sufficient number of candidates with prescribed age limit is available for selection for a particular post, the
commission may exercise its discretion not to relax upper age limit of the candidate(s) even if the provision for
such relaxation is laid down in the advertised criteria.
5. In cases where no Division/Class is awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marks and
conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned with documentary evidence.
6. Where experience of a number of years is prescribed as an item of qualification this would mean only
experience/research experience gained in full time employment/research in the relevant field.
