The KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar came into existence on 20th November 2006 as a constituent of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Its existing 2-year MBA (Rural Management) is designed to balance academics with experiential learning. Eligibility:
MBA (Rural Management): Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) at graduation can apply. Final Year degree students who can prove the eligibility before 30th September 2014 can also apply.

MBA Scholarships Thapar University, Patiala

Thapar University, Patiala, invites applications for 3 merit Scholarships, 1 merit-cum-means scholarship and 6 tuition fee freeships for students pursuing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered at the L M Thapar School of Management (LMTSOM) for the commencing session 2014.

Scholarships Details
  • Three Merit Scholarship: One each of value full, half and quarter tuition fee as prescribed from time to time for general category of MBA student be awarded to the students of first and second year as per University norms.
  • One Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: One merit-cum-means scholarship is equivalent to tuition fee and development fee shall also be given as per University norms.
  • Six Tuition Fee Freeships: Six tuition fee freeships @ one freeship per zone in each year of MBA program. The amount of freeship shall be equivalent to tuition fee prevailing to the concerned batch. Students seeking tuition freeships shall have to submit the domicile certificate at the time of applying the scholarship.

Step 3: Pay for SNAP test. Modes of Payment for the SNAP Test process
Given below are instructions for payment of SNAP Test fee of Rs. 2000/- (from September 5, 2013 to November 26, 2013).
ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD:
The candidate may pay directly through Master or Visa card online by following the instructions on the SNAP website after the registration.
ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH NET BANKING:
The candidate may transfer SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account using Net Banking option after the registration.
PAYMENT THROUGH CASH:
After online SNAP 2013 registration, print Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan’ from the SNAP website. It is in 3 parts. Pay Rs. 2000/- in cash at any Axis Bank or Indian Bank branch in your city. Refer to the list of branches on the website. The bank will return two stamped parts of the Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan’ to the candidate.
Candidates need to keep the Candidate copy as payment receipt. Sign the stamped Symbiosis copy’ of the Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan’ and send it to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at the address given in this page.
PAYMENT THROUGH DEMAND DRAFT:
Obtain a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 2,000/- from any Nationalized Bank in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
Fill DD details in the DD payment option in SNAP website and take a print out of Payment Advice’ form for DD and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at the following Address. The photocopy of the Demand Draft should be retained for future reference.

Any attempt to impersonate or indulge in any malpractice, identified at any stage of the admission process would disqualify the candidate from the admission processes to all MBA programs of Symbiosis International University and may also lead to appropriate legal action as deemed fit.
Step 6: Download Admit Card
1. SNAP Test Admit Card should be printed from the SNAP website [www.snaptest.org] which will be available from, Monday, December 02nd, 2013, till Sunday, December 15th, 2013.
2. Admit Card along with Photo Identity proof should be carried to the Test Centre at the time of the test. An acceptable photo identity is any one of the following,
  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • College/ Institute Identity Card
  • Credit card with photograph
  • Voter ID Card
  • Pan Card
  • AADHAR Card (UID)

Step 7: Appear for SNAP Test on December 15, 2013. For guidelines regarding SNAP test please refer to Section 2 of the SNAP Bulletin
Step 8: Book the common PI-WAT slot of your preference if shortlisted. The candidate will be required to book the location, date and time slot for the common PI-WAT process. Information of the process to be followed for booking of slots will be communicated when the shortlist is announced.
Step 9: Appear for common PI-WAT process if shortlisted. Details of the common PI-WAT are given in Section 4 of the SNAP bulletin. The same has been given after Step 10 for ready reference.
Step 10: After the PI-WAT process is completed, the University will declare the final merit list for each program category-wise. The weights for selection of candidates for programmes of the constituent institutes of SIU are given in Section 5 of the SNAP Bulletin. Pay the Fees for MBA – Banking Management if selected.
Reservation Policy
As per the UGC Regulations/ Guidelines, following will be the reservation policy for admission to any program of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has a separate policy)
a. Within Sanctioned Intake
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) : 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 7.5%
  • 3% seats reserved for "differently abled candidates - for blind, hearing impaired (deaf/dumb) and with orthopedic disorders or mentally challenged candidates". The minimum degree of disability should be 40% in order to be eligible under this category
b. Over & Above Intake
  • Kashmiri Migrants : 2 Seats per program
  • International Candidates : 15%
Candidates applying from categories other than Open Category are required to submit valid supporting document (s) at the time of PI-WAT (if shortlisted).

Foreign National (FN)
A candidate is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she holds a foreign passport.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
A candidate is eligible to apply as an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) if he/she has an OCI card, and is a citizen of a country other than India.
Non Resident Indian (NRI)
A candidate is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared either for the 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10+2) examination or Graduation outside India. It is mandatory for one of the two qualifying examinations to be given outside India.
It is mandatory for the Postgraduate Candidates who fall in the NRI Category and have appeared for their graduation in India to appear for the SNAP TEST.

The curriculum of the two-year (full time) MBA programme has an innovative course
structure incorporating latest developments in management education from across the globe.
The uniqueness of this programme is based on its approach to business and profit within the
holistic context of the wider society and economy. The curriculum is designed to bring about
radical change in the way students think, act, and perceive the world around them.
Instruction to the two year (full time) MBA programme will be imparted through six trimesters in two
years. Students will learn important concepts and will be exposed to experiences in all functional

Shiv Nadar University’s School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME) is launching its maiden program, the Master of Business Administration in 2014. The 2 year, full time, residential program is designed specifically to respond to the needs of industry and to provide a high quality education to students who have the passion to develop themselves into outstanding leaders of organizations. SME’s MBA program will offer an electives based structure for students to explore diverse areas of importance to business management based on their interests.

Eligibility to Apply:

You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from any of the recognized Universities, Deemed Universities, Institutions of National Importance or from a Professional Body including ICAI, ICSI, ICWAI, etc.

You can also apply if you are awaiting the result of the final year. In such case, conditional offer of admissions will be made subject to obtaining the minimum required scores in the final examination. You will be required to produce a certificate latest by July 31, 2014 from the Principal/Registrar of their college/institute stating that you have completed all the requirements (the results may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate. The transcript of the final examination will have to be submitted at the Registrar’s office latest by October 31, 2014.

Application and Selection Process:

The selection for SME’s MBA program will be through a 3 step process:

Step 1Application: You will need to make a detailed application online in the prescribed format . Please ensure the information you provide is accurate and detailed.
Step 2CAT or GMAT Score: You can apply for admission based on your CAT (conducted by IIM’s) or GMAT score.
  • In case you are seeking admission based on CAT score, the scores should only be from CAT 2013. Also, provide your unique CAT registration number in the application form without which the application form will not be processed.
  • In case you are seeking admission through GMAT, the test should have been taken on or after August 1, 2011.
Step 3Essay and Personal Interview: Based on the above two steps, a selected number of candidates will be invited for Personal Interview at SNU Campus between February and March. The candidates will also be required to demonstrate their analytical and writing skills by writing an essay on a topic given on the spot.

Fees and expenses: 

The fees for SME’s MBA program is Rs. 9 lakhs for the two year program.
