KTH Master`s Challenge India

Scholarships Study Subjects:
  • Master's programme in Wireless Systems
  • Master's programme in Engineering Design
  • Master's programme in Electric Power Engineering

Scholarship Details:
1st prize:
  • KTH Scholarship (worth approx. 2,300,000 INR)
    • Living allowance during the two years master’s study provided by ABB (worth approx. 1.200.00 IDR) (only Electric Power Engineering)
    • Summer internship with ABB (only Electric Power Engineering)
  • Summer internship with FormulateIP
  • VIP invitation* to the prize ceremony in Bangalore, January 2016
  • Application fee waiver*
  • Winner's certificate

Two runners’ ups:
  • Summer internship with ABB (only Electric Power Engineering)
  • VIP invitation* to the prize ceremony in Bangalore, January 2016
  • Application fee waiver*
  • Winner's certificate

Note: * If the winner lives outside of Bangalore, air/train fair and one hotel night after the ceremony will be provided by KTH. If the winner lives in Bangalore, no travel or accommodation will be provided.
** Application fees charged by University Admissions will be waived by KTH. This entitles the winners to apply to up to four programmes in Sweden (worth approx. 7,300 INR)

Eligibility:
  • Indian citizen or legal Indian resident currently enrolled at an Indian university, or recent graduate holding a bachelor's degree from an Indian university (graduating no later than June 2016).
  • In order to be able to claim the first prize (scholarship), the winner first needs to fulfill the enrollment requirements set by KTH and the Master's programme. The prize winner must be accepted into the Master's programme in order to receive the scholarship. Thus, winning the competition does not automatically mean the student is guaranteed a place in the Master's programme.

Selection Process:
  • All participants will be judged according to their overall performance in the competition, which will be based on competition results, educational background, and quality of the personal statement.

How to apply:
Applicants must:
  • Take the three quizzes
  • Provide their solution to the case question related to the Master’s programme
  • Write a short personal statement (motivational statement)
  • Fill out their profile (make sure to fill in your individual and educational background or you may not be eligible)
  • Apply to the Master’s programme on the University Admissions website.

Important Dates:
Last Date: 12th November, 2015
Announcement of Finalists: 17th November, 2015
Deadline to upload all the documents and apply to the Master’s programme on University Admissions: 22nd November, 2015
Announcement of Winners: 11th December, 2015
Prize ceremony in Bangalore: January, 2016
Last date to officially reply to scholarship offer: 15th April, 2016
Scholarship awarded: May, 2016
