Union Public Service Commission: Professor (Economics), Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor

  1. Professor (Economics): 01 Post
    Qualifications: (A) i). An eminent scholar with PhD qualifications in Economics and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research or policy papers. ii).Minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National Level Institutions/Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. iii). Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process. iv). Minimum score of 400 points as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Or (B) An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in Economics, to be substantiated by credentials.
  2. Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor (Surgery): 10 Posts
    Qualifications: i).MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. ii). Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Master of Surgery (Surgery), Master of Surgery (General Surgery).

    Experience: At least three years teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-speciality in a recognised teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.
  3. Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation): 09 Posts
    Qualifications: i). MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). ii). Post- Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Master of Surgery (General Surgery) or Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) with two years special training in the Speciality in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Medicine) or two years of equivalent training approved in the subject in any approved institution in India.

    Experience: At least three years teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-speciality in a recognised teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.
  4. Assistant Legislative Counsel (Kannada): 01 Post
    Qualifications: i). Masters degree in Law (LLM) from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government and ii). Should have been a member of State Judicial Service for a period of five years. Or Should have held a post in the Legal Department of a State Government for five years. Or Should have been a Central Government Servant who has had experience in Legal Affairs for five years.
  5. Nautical Surveyor-cum-Deputy Director General (Technical): 15 Posts
    Qualifications: Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship as recognized by the Government of India.

    Experience: Five years service as Deck officer, after obtaining the certificate of competency of second mate (Foreign Going), of which one year must have been in capacity of a Master on a Foreign going ship.
  6. Veterinary Officer: 02 Posts
    Qualifications: i). Recognised Veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1982 (Number 52 of 1984). ii). Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council of Indian Veterinary Council.
