PhD programme in the following Departments: Architecture, Bio-Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Chemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Physics, Production Engineering, Remote Sensing and Space Engineering and Rocketry. Eligibility: (a) Candidates with M.Phil./Master’s degree in Technology/ Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Management/ Architecture or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks at Master’s level for General candidates (55% in case of (i) Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and (ii) SC/ ST candidates) or (b) Candidates with M.Phil./ Master’s Degree in Science/ Humanities with a minimum of 55% marks at Master’s level for General candidates (50% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience and SC/ ST candidates) or (c) Any other discipline approved by the Technical Council of the Institute from time to time. Applicants with B.Tech./ BE /B.Sc.Engg./ B.Arch./ B.Pharma./ MBBS having a minimum of 70% marks at Graduation level for General candidates (55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and 55% for SC/ ST candidates) may also apply. This degree must entail a minimum of 4 years of education after higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. However, an applicant having professional qualifications such as Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) / Aeronautical Society of India or equivalent may be considered for admission to the PhD programme only after he/she completes the ME/ M.Tech. programme of any recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks at Master’s level (55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience and SC/ ST candidates).
