Eligibility Candidates must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3) in any discipline. Candidates must have minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in honours / aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD) in graduation. Candidates graduating in 2015 can also apply, provided they have at least requisite marks as mentioned above (item 2) at the time of applying. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if the programs are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU and they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks. Candidates must have appeared and valid total percentile / score at least 40 (35 for SC/ST) in CAT-2014. How to Apply Candidates can apply online and the link for filling the online form will be active on the next day of declaration of CAT 2014 result. Candidates can download the bank challan form from the website to deposit the application fee for Rs.2, 500/- (Rs.1, 500/- for SC/ST) (non-refundable) in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology” in a SBI / ICICI bank and send a printout of the completed form with requisite enclosures to the office of dean admissions & academic coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215.
