Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) RESEARCH AWARD FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

Applications are invited by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) on the recommendations of the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) which has instituted a Scheme to Grant financial assistance to young Scientists in their initial years of settling down in a career of Research and Development. Scholarships Details The assistance in the form of a Research Award is given to exceptionally bright young scientists below the age of 35 years. The Award carries a maximum research grant of Rs. 17.00 lakhs in a block of three years and that can be utilised for expenditure on JRF Salary, equipment, consumables, travel and other contingencies in connection with his/her research activities. Scientists/Engineers working in universities, academic/ research institutions of higher learning and having a regular position are ONLY eligible to apply for this Award. Those working in the laboratories and institutions fully supported by government departments like DAE, DST, CSIR, ICMR and ICAR need not apply for this award. Scientists and engineers working in R&D organisations of Private Industry or fully supported by Private Industry also need not apply. Also, those who have already received earlier or are currently in receipt of any research grant from any funding agency are not eligible for the Award. Electronics and Instrumentation 7. Food and Agricultural Sciences 8. Radiation and Environmental Sciences and 9. Radio-isotope applications. How to Apply?
