The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) at Kochi/ Chennai/ Visakhapatnam offers career training to candidates in Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) Marine Fitter Course (MFC) Trades which have been introduced by Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, New Delhi under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT. Eligibility Criteria Pass in 10th Standard (SSLC) or equivalent examination with 50% in Maths and Science separately. The candidates who are appearing 10th Examination during March 2014 are also eligible to apply. However the selection will be made only through marks obtained in 10th and Entrance examination. Desirable: One year fishing experience. 16 to 20 years as on 1st August 2014 candidates born between 02.08.94and 02.08.98 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years.
