Scholarship Details:

Eligibility:
Applicants must have:

passed at least the Secondary School Certificate examination or other equivalent examination and who have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in the last examination given by them prior to the making of the applications are eligible to apply for a loan scholarship.
The person proposed as guarantor must be a male, and permanent resident in Mumbai having a monthly income of not less than Rs.10,000/- for applicants pursuing studies in India and Rs.15,000/- for applicants pursuing studies overseas.
Applicants must submit letters of recommendation from 2 recommenders who are permanent residents in Mumbai.

How to apply:

Applicants should apply in prescribed application form, which can be obtained on request from the Trust office by payment of Rs.50/- either by a Postal Order or by demand draft in favour of R D Sethna Scholarship Fund.
Applicants must also send a self addressed Rs.10/- stamped envelope of size: 23 cm x 10 cm.
Applicants must indicate whether the form is required for studies in India or overseas.

Fellowship details:

Duration of the fellowship: 22 months
Students with a valid GATE score are provided financial assistantship (in the form of Institute Assistantship/Scholarship) worth Rs. 12,400/- per month for 22 months.
Students in receipt of Institute Assistantship will be expected to carry out duties of Teaching and Research Assistantship assigned by the concerned Head of the Department.

Eligibility:

MS by Research in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering: B.Tech./BS (4-year) /M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 55% marks/5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates).
MS by Research in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering: B.Tech./BS (4-year) or equivalent degree with 55% marks/5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates).
MS by Research in Environmental Engineering and Management, and Photonics Science and Engineering: B.Tech./BS (4-year) /M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 55% marks/5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates). Candidates having B.Sc. (3-year) or equivalent degree with 75% marks/7.5 CPI are also eligible to apply.

Fellowship is provided for:
- Indian fellows going abroad will receive US $ 2,000/- per month and US $ 1,000/- per year as lump-sum payments towards contingent and preparatory expenses.
- Overseas fellows in India will receive Rs.40,000/- per month and Rs.25,000/- per year as lump-sum payments towards contingent and preparatory expenses.
- Bench fee - The institutional bench fee prescribed by the Institute/University where the admission has been sought restricted to 25% of the total amount will be reimbursed by the ICAR, while the remaining 75% has to be borne by the candidate availing International Fellowships.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have master’s degree in agriculture/allied sciences with an Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) 6.60 out of 10.0 or 65% marks or equivalent.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age on the last date prescribed for receipt of applications.
