Doctoral Research Program@ (ISEC) Institute for Social Economic Change for 2014 – 15

Applications are invited from interested candidates for Doctoral Research Program at (ISEC) Institute for Social Economic Change.
Scholarship Details
  • The candidates selected for ICSSR/ISEC fellowship are paid a scholarship of Rs.6, 000 p.m. during the PhD Foundation Coursework period besides an annual contingency grant of Rs.12, 000.
  • Upon successful completion of PhD Coursework the fellowship is extendable to a further period of three years, fellowship payable during these years would be Rs.16,000/- p.m. and a contingency of Rs. 15,000/- per annum.
  • These Fellowship holders should comply with all the PhD Program requirements of ICSSR/ISEC, from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Master's degree or equivalent in any of the disciplines with at least 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST applicants).
  • A pass in UGC-NET or SLET or M Phil is desirable.
  • Age limit for ICSSR fellowships - below 35 years, 40 years in case of teachers and members of professional staff in Research Institutes.
  • There is no age limit for ISEC Fellowship, Part-time PhD Programme.

Research Fellows @National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) Gurgaon

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Research Associate (RA-1, RA-2, and RA-3) in National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Haryana.
Fellowship Details
  • Fellowships: RA-1 – Rs. 22,000/-RA-2 – Rs. 23,000/-RA-3 – Rs. 24,000/-
  • Accommodation: Research Associate may be provided with suitable accommodation in lieu of H.R.A. subject to availability.
Eligibility Criteria
  • A Ph.D. degree in any of the following branches of Sciences viz., Life Sciences, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, / Engineering / Psychology with interest in Brain Research or in any subject related to the general area of Neuroscience.
  • Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should clearly specify whether thesis for Ph.d Degree has been submitted & viva is awaited or Ph.D Degree has been awarded, along with the date of submission of Thesis or date of award of Degree, whichever is applicable.
  • Candidates whose doctoral research experience match with the research area/interest being carried out in the different Scientist's Labs of NBRC will only be short-screened for further interview. In this regard selection committee's decision will be final.

Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) RESEARCH AWARD FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

Applications are invited by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) on the recommendations of the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) which has instituted a Scheme to Grant financial assistance to young Scientists in their initial years of settling down in a career of Research and Development.

Scholarships Details
  • The assistance in the form of a Research Award is given to exceptionally bright young scientists below the age of 35 years.
  • The Award carries a maximum research grant of Rs. 17.00 lakhs in a block of three years and that can be utilised for expenditure on JRF Salary, equipment, consumables, travel and other contingencies in connection with his/her research activities.
  • Scientists/Engineers working in universities, academic/ research institutions of higher learning and having a regular position are ONLY eligible to apply for this Award.
  • Those working in the laboratories and institutions fully supported by government departments like DAE, DST, CSIR, ICMR and ICAR need not apply for this award.
  • Scientists and engineers working in R&D organisations of Private Industry or fully supported by Private Industry also need not apply.
  • Also, those who have already received earlier or are currently in receipt of any research grant from any funding agency are not eligible for the Award.
