2. ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE ETC.
(i) MBBS/BDS
(ii) Registered with State Medical Council Register/Medical Council of
India.
(iii) The candidates who have already completed their one year rotatory
internship/likely to complete internship on 31.12.2013 are eligible to
apply.
3. TENURE OF POSTS
The above said posts are tenure posts and will be filled up for a maximum
period of one year i.e. upto 31.12.2014 subject to satisfactory performance of
their duties. The Junior Residency, if done, in any Central institution/hospital,
the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of one year, so as the
maximum period of Junior Residency should not exceed one year.

4. UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON :- 01.01.2013
 The upper age limit shall be 30 years for MBBS/BDS candidates for Junior
Residents.

5. RESERVATION AND RELAXATION:
a) Age is relaxable for 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC, 5 years for physically
handicapped 10 years for widows/deserted women/women judicially separated
from their husbands, who are not re-married.
b) The reservation and relaxation in the upper age limit i.e. for the above
categories of posts reserved for such categories will be made, as per the
instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
c) The SC/OBC candidates applying for un-reserved posts are not entitled to any
relaxation in upper age limit/application fee.
d) The Candidates belonging to their own category will be considered against the
aforesaid posts.
e) The claim of the candidate to SC/OBC (not BC) categories will be considered
only when the same is accompanied by the certificate issued by the competent
authority in the prescribed format by the Government of India. Only those OBC
category candidates will be considered, whose caste is falling under OBC
category in both the Central List and the Union Territory, Chandigarh List.
f) In case OBC candidates are not available the candidates of General Category
can be considered till GMCH does not get a candidate from the OBC Category
being tenure post.
6. PAY SCALE:

Rs. 15600-39,100/- carrying grade pay of Rs.5400/- + Other Allowances as
admissible.
7. APPLICATION FEE:
 The Application Fee of Rs.200/- (Rs.50/- in case of SC candidate, if applying
for reserved category), non refundable, through Demand Draft payable at
Chandigarh in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College &
Hospital, Sector - 32, Chandigarh should be sent alongwith the Application.
8. OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
i) The number of posts are tentative and can be increased or decreased. The
department reserves the right to withdraw the post at any time, without
assigning any reason or without any notice whatsoever.
ii) The candidates who have already completed their tenure of Junior Residency
are not eligible to apply.
iii) The Junior Residents, who have earlier worked in this institute and their
services, were dispensed with on account of misconduct or otherwise by this
institute, are not eligible to apply against these posts.
iv) The applications duly completed in all respects in the prescribed format
alongwith the attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, date of
birth, character certificate, medical registration certificate with Medical Council
of India/State Medical Council, internship completion certificate, Mark Sheet of
MBBS First Prof. Second Prof, Final Prof. Part-I and II, Caste/Community
Certificate issued by the competent authority alongwith latest photograph and

JIPMER Entrance Examinations-Master of Public Health, M.Sc. Medical Physics, Post Basic Diploma Courses in Nursing – 2014

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, is inviting applications for conducting an entrance exam for admission into its Master of Public Health (MPH), M.Sc. Medical Physics and Post Basic Diploma in Nursing.

Eligibility Criteria
The following are the Programmes and respective eligible criteria:

For Master of Public Health (MPH): 
The Candidate must possess the qualification of MBBS / B.D.S / B.E. / B.Tech. (Any Branch) / B.Sc. Nursing / B.V.Sc. Veterinary Science / AYUSH / Allied Health or Social Sciences of any recognized University / Statutory Body, in first attempt with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

For M.Sc. Medical Physics: A candidate who has passed the Degree Examination in B.Sc. Physics with allied / Ancillary Mathematics & Chemistry or Triple Major with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry of any recognized University shall be eligible to apply.

For Post Basic Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care Nursing/ Cardio-Thoracic Nursing/ Operation Room Nursing / Oncology Nursing/ Neonatal Nursing)
  • The candidate must be a registered nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent.
  • Possess Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with one year experience as Staff Nurse or B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent.
  • Age limit is 40 years and relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Service candidates.
