  1. Sinology/ Chinese Studies: 01 Post
    Qualification: i). PhD in Chinese history with a specialization in intellectual or religious history of pre-modern China or China’s cultural interactions with other nations in East Asia, South East Asia and South Asia in the pre-modern era. ii). Demonstrable record of native or near-native ability in both Chinese and English. iii). Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. iv). Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.
  2. Asian/ Global Art History: 02 Posts
    Qualification: i). PhD in East/ Southeast Asian Art/ Global Art History. ii). Broad knowledge and expertise in critical intersections of art history, innovative methods of research and teaching art and art history and other disciplinary practices. iii). Demonstrable record of area studies specialization in associated field of visual culture, and heritage studies. iv). Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. v). Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.
  3. Global History: 01 Post
    Qualification: i). PhD in Asian/ Middle-Eastern/ European history. ii). Broad knowledge and expertise in historical and socio-cultural contexts around the framework of ‘Asia and the Mediterranean Region. iii). Demonstrable record of research expertise in one or more relevant languages and interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives along registers of language (classical and/or modern) religion and science. iv). Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. v). Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.
  4. Economic History: 01 Post
    Qualification: i). PhD with a specialization in Asian/African History/the history of the Americas. ii). Broad knowledge and expertise in historical and socio-cultural contexts around the framework of ‘Asia and the Indian Ocean’. iii). Demonstrable record of research expertise in one or more relevant languages (classical and/or modern) and interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives along the registers of socio-economic and political history. iv). Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. v). Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.
  5. Archaeology: 01 Post
    Qualification: i). PhD in Archaeology or Anthropology with a specialization in archaeology or any closely related field. ii). Broad knowledge and expertise in prehistoric, historical, and underwater archaeology, archaeological science i.e. ecological modeling, statistical analysis, and/or bio-archaeology. iii). Demonstrable record of expertise in theoretical analysis of social and cultural processes and quantitative research. iv). Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. v). Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.
