Programme Eligibility MS by Research in Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering B.Tech./ BS (4-year)/ M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 55% marks/ 5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates). MS by Research in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering B.Tech./ BS (4-year) or equivalent degree with 55% marks/ 5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates). MS by Research in Environmental Engineering and Management, and Photonics Science and Engineering - B.Tech./ BS (4-year)/ M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 55% marks/ 5.5 CPI (on a 10-point scale), and a valid GATE score (GATE is waived for sponsored and part-time candidates). - Candidates having B.Sc. (3-year) or equivalent degree with 75% marks/ 7.5 CPI are also eligible to apply. Students in receipt of Institute Assistantship will be expected to carry out duties of Teaching and Research Assistantship assigned by the concerned Head of the Department. Others must be sponsored through project funding from their thesis supervisors (or) financial sponsorship must come from their parent industrial organization. Selection process: The number of admissions that can be made to any programme shall be as decided by the Senate from time to time. Reservations (for SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL)/ PD shall apply as per Government of India rules. The certificate for the same must be in the format specified.
