Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University: Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for the following posts. Assistant Professor (Computer Science): 01 Post Qualifications: i). BE/ B.Tech. and ME/ M.Tech. in Computer Science with First Class or an equivalent grade and Good Academic Record BE/ B.Tech. and ME/ M.Tech. in relevant branch with First class 0r equivalent either in OR BE/ B.Tech. and MCA with first class or equivalent in either BE or B.Tech. or MCA OR MCA with class or equivalent with two years relevant experience. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. ii). Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a PhD Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University/ College Institutions. NET/ SLET/ SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/ SET is not conducted. Assistant Professor (Hotel Management): 01 Post Qualifications: Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with first Class at Bachelors (3 years degree or Diploma after 10+2 in HMCT) or equivalent and Masters Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree. Assistant Professor (Yoga & Health Education): 01 Post Qualifications: Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with a degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board/ Faculty/ Examining Body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970 , and A First Class Post-graduate degree in the Medicine (Ayurved ) as recognised under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 , OR Must have put in not less than five years of teaching experience in Naturopathy or Yoga, provided that if a person who have put in a minimum teaching experience of years in Naturopathy or Yoga is not available, then a person who have put in three years of teaching experience in Naturopathy or Yoga in an Institution recognised by the Government may be considered for Direct Recruitment.
