Eligibility

For B.Des. Programs: Candidates should have -
- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized central/state board of secondary examination, such as CBSE / state board New Delhi, and council for Indian school of certificate examination, New Delhi. Or
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).
For B.Tech. in Apparel Design: Candidates should have -
- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized central/state board of secondary examination, such as CBSE, New Delhi, and council for Indian school of certificate examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Or
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri- Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB).
For M.Des. Program:
Candidates should have-
- Undergraduate degree from any institute / university recognized by law in India. Or
- Diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID only.

How to Apply

Candidates can apply online.
Demand Draft of requisite amount (Rs. 1500/- in case of general/OBC (non-creamy) candidates and Rs. 900/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates) drawn in favour of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi in case making payment DD.
Debit/ credit card details in case making online payment (Rs. 1400/- in case of general /OBC (non-creamy) candidates and Rs. 800/- in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates).

Selection Procedure
Selection will be made on the basis of entrance test conducted by the institute followed by counseling.

Important Dates

Last date: 16th January, 2015.
Date of admission test:
- Paper based test 1 for all programs: Sunday, 08 February, 2015.
- Paper based test 2 for B.Des./M.Des. programs: Sunday, 22nd February, 2015.
- Computer based test for BFT, MFT and MFM: Sunday, 22nd February, 2015.
