Scholarship Details: For full-time PhD students, a fellowship of Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first 3 years (extendable to 1 more year in deserving cases) is available. Such funding for the PhD students comes from within IIITB, from sponsored research projects, or with industry support from HP, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Motorola, Siemens, Microsoft, ABB, and other companies. Eligibility Criteria: A master’s degree in engineering (M.E., M.Tech. or equivalent) is required for PhD Additional research domain-specific requirements are as follows: For PhD in Data Sciences Program: Applicants for this stream should have taken either GATE examination for Computer Science or a 45-minute written examination conducted by the research domain at IIITB exclusively for applicants to Data Sciences. For PhD in Networking, Communications & Signal Processing Program: Applicants are encouraged to take GATE or GRE examination. Exceptional applicants without a GATE or GRE score may take IIITB entrance examination or oral examination, as decided by the research domain. How to Apply: Candidates can apply online.
