University of Auckland (UOA), New Zealand, invites applications for Senior Health Research Scholarships for the session 2015.
The main purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support so that health professionals can return to the University to study for a doctorate in a health-related area. Scholarship Details Each scholarship will provide a tax-free stipend of up to $40,000 per annum plus compulsory tuition fees and international student health insurance (if applicable), for up to 36 months. Part-time students shall be paid pro-rata for up to 72 months. Eligibility The Scholarships are tenable by domestic students and domestic-fee paying international students. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for registration for a doctorate as described in the statutes of the university and will need to have an appropriate research program in a health-related area and provide evidence that it has been accepted by the proposed supervisor and the Head of the Department in which the research is to be carried out. Selection Procedure The basis of selection will be academic merit, the proposed area of research, and the ability of the University to provide adequate supervision and access to resources.
