Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai invites applications for PhD Scholarships for students pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & System Sciences & Science Education and integrated PhD+M.Sc. in Mathematics, Biology and integrated PhD in Physics offered at Bangalore and Mumbai campuses for the session 2015 Scholarship Details: For PhD Programs: Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- after registration) and an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000/-, in addition to a tuition grant covering the annual fees. The annual fee is Rs 4000/-. Integrated PhD Programs: Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- from third year onwards, subject to passing the comprehensive exam/registration), in addition to tuition grant covering the annual fees. Eligibility Criteria: For PhD (Mumbai): Candidates should have M.Sc./BE/B.Tech./M.Tech./MA/ BA/B.Sc. degree. For PhD (Bangalore): Candidates should have MA/M.Sc./M.Tech. degree.
