M.Des. @ IIT Bombay

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, invites applications for admission into its Master of Design (M.Des.) programme in various disciplines offered at IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur and IIT Kanpur campuses for the session 2015.

Eligibility
Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following, by July 2015:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or equivalent (4 years program after 10+2).
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years program after 10+2).
  • B.F.A. (4 year professional program, after 10+2).
  • G.D. Art (5 year program after 10th) with one year post qualification professional experience.
  • Master's degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications (2 year program after 10+2+3).
How to Apply
  • Candidates can apply online.
  • The application fee (non-refundable) is Rs. 2000 for male/General/OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PwD male candidates and for all women candidates.
Selection ProcedureSelection of candidates will be done on the bais of their performance in the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED-2015) conducted by the institute on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.

  • Date for applying online: Monday, August 04, 2014 to Monday, September 01, 2014.
  • Choice of test center: Wednesday, October 15, 2014 to Thursday, October 30, 2014.
  • Date of download of admit card: Friday, November 07, 2014 to Saturday, December 06, 2014.
  • Date of CEED: Sunday, December 07, 2014.
  • Announcement of result: Thursday, January 15, 2015.
  • Availability of score cards for downloading: Thursday, January 22, 2015.
