Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura, Srinagar, invites applications for admission into its four years B.Sc. programme in Nursing, three years B.Sc. in Radiology & Imaging Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, Medical Lab Technology and Perfusionist Technology programs for the session 2014-15. Eligibility The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination through a recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English having secured 50% and above marks for open merit and 40% marks and above for candidates belonging to other reserved categories. Applications are invited from eligible male/female candidates who are permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir state. How to Apply Candidates can obtain the application form from official website. Applications on prescribed form complete in all respects, affixed with 5 recent passport size photographs of the candidate (attested by Gazetted Officer) accompanied with a demand draft for Rs.500/- from any branch of J&K Bank (Nonrefundable) pledged to Financial Advisor & CAO, SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar along with attested copies of the following certificates should reach office of the Administrative Officer (ACAD) SKIMS by or before the last date. Selection Procedure The candidates shall have to appear in an entrance examination (written test) of 100 minutes duration consisting of one question paper containing 100 objective type (multiple choice) questions in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English of 10+2 level. In case, any seat remains vacant due to non- availability of candidate(s) in a particular category including SKIMS in-service candidates, the same shall be filled from amongst the General category candidate(s) as per the merit list.
